After entering the Spatial Rift, Richard and Kaecilius felt as if they had entered a completely different world.
The vast white snowfield instantly transformed into a dazzling, iridescent passageway.
The Spatial Passage seemed to be vertical, Richard and his companion entered through the upper entrance, so they began to fall continuously from the moment they entered.
Sizzle~
Richard's Magic Shield accidentally collided with the iridescent light streaking across the Spatial Passage, instantly sparking countless energy sparks!
He turned his head and his face showed a look of horror!
The crimson shield surrounding him melted away rapidly, like melting ice, at a speed visible to the naked eye!
Richard quickly turned to Kaecilius and shouted, "Don't touch the light streams in the Spatial Passage!"
A vein bulged on Kaecilius's neck as he nodded with great effort.
It turns out that there is an omnipresent pulling force within this Spatial Passage.
This force came from all directions, pulling in all directions; those with insufficient physical strength would likely be torn into countless pieces on the spot...
Kaecilius used all his strength to resist the pulling force within the passage, leaving no energy to transmit his voice...
Richard saw through Kaecilius's predicament. Crimson Mana burst forth from his body, like a bolt of lightning, engulfing the two of them and transforming them into a crimson meteor as they plummeted downwards.
It seems like a few minutes, or maybe tens of minutes, have passed...
The Spatial Passage was narrow and long; Richard fell for a short while before losing his sense of time...
Boom!
After a violent impact, the two finally landed at the bottom of the Spatial Passage.
The crimson outer garments disappeared, revealing Richard and Kaecilius underneath.
Richard was in excellent condition. After five Total Evolution, his body was already extraordinary. The pulling force of the Spatial Passage felt like a full-body massage to him. Not only was he not tired, but he also felt quite comfortable.
Kaecilius was no match. Although the Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj placed great emphasis on physical training, and he was among the best, if Richard hadn't intervened decisively, he would likely have been exhausted and torn to pieces long ago...
Richard surveyed his surroundings. This place was almost nothingness; what he was standing on was less like ground and more like a space that had lost its elasticity...
He pushed off with both feet, and his whole body floated up, giving him a much wider field of vision.
A few hundred meters ahead to the left, there seemed to be a large hole, Richard vaguely sensed some kind of substance slowly oozing out from the hole.
"Senior Brother Kaecilius, you rest here for a bit, I'll go check over there!"
Kaecilius nodded, gave a word of caution, and then plopped down cross-legged on the ground, closing his eyes to meditate and recover his strength.
Richard swiftly floated to the front of the large hole and discovered that this 'hole' was actually a Spatial Rift...
"Is this the abandoned Dimensional Space that the Ancient One Sorcerer Supreme of?"
"What's leaking out of this Spatial Rift is likely the Origin Energy of that Dimensional Space..."
"At this rate of loss, this Dimensional Space will probably disintegrate automatically before long..."
Just as Richard turned to leave, a strange attraction emanated from the 'cave entrance'...
"Hmm?" Richard was taken aback. He frowned and looked down. "Something in the Dimensional Space seems to be drawing me in?"
He glanced at Kaecilius, who was meditating, thought for a moment, and then rushed in.
Richard's vision blurred, and he found himself inside Dimensional Space.
This Dimensional Space has shrunk to a size of only a little over 10,000 square kilometers. The land within it has long been fragmented, with countless large and small land fragments floating in the air, resembling floating islands...
Richard was surprised to find that some of the larger floating islands still had some living vegetation and animals!
One of the animals looks very similar to an antelope on Earth, but the two are clearly not the same species because their two black horns occasionally flash with a blue electric light.
After sensing the surroundings briefly, Richard turned and flew towards a floating island not far away. What was attracting him must be on this floating island...
I landed gently on the island. The trees on the island were generally thick and tall, and some white birds perched on them. Judging from the gusts of wind they stirred up when they flapped their wings, they must be Magical Beast or Spirit Beast with extraordinary power, just like those 'antelopes'.
Richard knelt on the ground, his right hand pressed against the earth, and crimson Mana instantly emanated from his body.
"Ha!"
With a roar, the entire floating island began to tremble violently.
The white birds perched on the branches flew up in alarm, chirping incessantly.
Rumble~
A crack suddenly appeared in the ground below Richard's right hand, revealing a bottomless passage.
Richard levitated and leaped into the crevice. He flew rapidly toward the unidentified object that was emitting an increasingly strong attraction.
After flying for about half a minute, a spherical object buried deep in the ground appeared before him.
"Um?"
Richard stopped near the spherical object and examined it carefully.
This object appears to be a transparent Crystal Orb, about one meter in radius, emitting an extremely dim red light from within.
As he arrived, the red light gradually grew stronger.
But Richard could see that the Crystal Orb had reached its limit; the brighter the red light it emitted, the more fine cracks began to appear on its smooth surface.
Richard cautiously extended a Crimson Mana and gently touched the surface of the Crystal Orb.
Unexpectedly, the Crystal Orb flashed with a blinding red light, swallowing the wisp of crimson Mana he had extended.
"???"
Richard looked completely bewildered.
After absorbing his wisp of Mana, the Crystal Orb also transmitted a thought to him...
More! We need more!
"Holy crap? This thing is alive?!"
Richard hesitated for a moment, then landed on the Crystal Orb Crystal Orb, placed his hand on its surface, and began to infuse it with Mana.
The Crystal Orb conveyed a hint of excitement, accepting everything without hesitation and absorbing all the Mana he had poured into it.
And so it went, one continuously instilling knowledge, the other gulping it down...
The Crystal Orb finally stopped consuming Richard's Mana reserves when they had decreased by a full third.
Richard raised an eyebrow. "Are you full?"
The Crystal Orb did not respond; instead, it flashed red light again, engulfing Richard.
Richard was momentarily disoriented when he found himself in a vibrant, living world.
This place stretches for thousands of miles and is home to countless plants and animals.
The Black-Horned Antelope and white birds he had previously discovered were just two of the many other diverse and abundant Spirit Beast that inhabited the area.
The most powerful of them should be a kind of Western Draconic Magical Beast that resembles a lizard. They have incredibly strong bodies and can summon lightning Thunder!
Time suddenly accelerated...
Until one day, the sky cracked!
A giant eyeball appeared in the crack in the sky...
