Maria Hill?!
Richard narrowed his eyes. This woman was Nick Fury's right-hand woman; why would she come to him on her own initiative?
He gently patted Christine's bottom.
The girl nodded, let go of her boyfriend, and quietly returned to the bedroom.
Richard walked to the sofa, sat down, and then said, "I know you, Miss Hill..."
"Did Nick Fury send you to contact me? What, he's too afraid to call me himself now?"
"No," Maria Hill denied, "It has nothing to do with Director Nick; I got your number myself."
Richard raised an eyebrow and asked suspiciously, "So, Miss Hill, is there something you need from me?"
Maria Hill hesitated for a moment, then said, "They said it wasn't convenient over the phone. Could we meet in person?"
Richard immediately became interested, and he said with a playful smile, "Of course, you can decide the time and place..."
"Tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM United States time, at the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D. C." Maria Hill said quickly.
"OK, see you then." Richard agreed immediately.
After hanging up the phone, Christine came out of the bedroom.
" Richard, everything's packed, let's go."
" Clea, aren't you going to ask who made the call just now?" Richard asked curiously.
Christine blinked, then shook her head violently. "No, I don't want to know, I'm not interested!"
Richard was taken aback. "Alright, I'll take you back to Kamar-Taj first..."
Christine shook her head again. "No! I'm going to Natasha's."
"Huh?!" Richard was stunned again. "You're not going back to Kamar-Taj?!"
"Going back!" Christine said smugly, hands on her hips. " The Dormitory at Kamar-Taj are too small. Natasha's place is much more spacious and comfortable!"
"Anyway, I've already learned how to open Portal, so I can just teleport back and forth every day~"
Richard was having a headache. He didn't know how Natasha and Vivian were doing, and then there was Christine...
Three women make a drama, let alone three women who are rivals in love and don't get along!
The Sky Fortress is about to descend into complete chaos!
Richard wanted to refuse, but couldn't find a reason, so he had no choice but to open the Portal.
Let fate decide.
Meanwhile, at S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, in the commander's office.
After hanging up the phone, Maria Hill gathered up the documents on the table and hid them in her bosom.
She left the office directly, entered the elevator, and headed to the underground parking garage.
"Ring ring~"
The phone rang suddenly. Maria Hill took out her encrypted agent phone and checked the caller ID.
Nick Fury?
A flicker of unease crossed her eyes as she answered the phone.
"Director Nick?"
" Commander Hill, where are you now?" Nick Fury's voice came through the phone.
Maria Hill replied calmly, "At Trident Headquarters, Director Nick."
"However, I was just about to go to the underground parking garage to get my car. Is there anything I can do for you?"
Nick Fury paused for a moment, then said, "No, just a reminder that you shouldn't forget to give me the personnel list for the new operations team tomorrow."
"Yes, sir!" A shadow of gloom crossed Maria Hill's eyes. "I will bring the personnel list to the director's office at 9:30 tomorrow morning."
"Very good, then that's settled."
Nick Fury hung up the phone after he finished speaking.
Maria Hill put away her phone, crossed her arms, and leaned her head against the elevator wall.
When he reached the third basement level, the elevator doors opened, and he walked straight out of the elevator.
Inside the director's office, Nick Fury watched the elevator surveillance video over and over again at five times the normal speed.
Her expression remained calm throughout; it seems she didn't witness that scene...
After saying that, he closed the surveillance video and reopened another one.
In the video, a bald Indian man wearing glasses is working in an office.
Nick Fury rested his chin on his hands, quietly watching the live surveillance footage.
Upon arriving at the underground parking garage, Maria Hill calmly walked to a white SUV.
She pressed the electronic key, opened the car door, and got in.
Glancing at the surveillance camera on the rear wall, which was turned to face the car, in the rearview mirror, he pursed his lips and cursed under his breath:
Damn monster!
She remained vigilant, started the car, and slowly drove it out of the underground parking garage.
The white SUV crossed the bridge and turned onto a street.
Maria Hill took out a scanner and scanned the surroundings, but found no surveillance cameras.
"Phew~"
She breathed a sigh of relief and slumped into the driver's seat.
After catching her breath, Maria Hill sat up, slammed her hand on the steering wheel angrily, and muttered under her breath:
"Damn monster!"
She recalled the terrifying scene she had witnessed in the director's office that morning, and a flicker of fear crossed her eyes.
Nick Fury was actually Green-skinned Monster in disguise?!
When did that monster replace Nick Fury?
Where is the real Nick Fury now?
Is he alive, or dead?!
Are there any other Green-skinned Monster within S.H.I.E.L.D..?
If so, which agents were replaced by the Green-skinned Monster?
She suddenly remembered the previous spy defection incident...
Agents Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton were Nick Fury's right-hand men, yet they both defected within a short period of time...
Did they discover this secret as well?
A jumble of thoughts surged through Maria Hill's mind.
After discovering this secret, she secretly accessed several classified documents and confirmed that Nick Fury were present at different locations at the same time.
These locations are completely opposite!
Even if Nick Fury were to fly the fastest Quinjet, it would be impossible for him to fly from Washington, D. C. to Cape Town South Africa in half an hour!
Just as she was panicking and didn't know what to do, she suddenly remembered that Nick Fury had been investigating a doctor Richard.
This Richard, an external doctor for S.H.I.E.L.D.., dared to go toe-to-toe with Nick Fury and even made him suffer!
It is rumored that Natasha Romanoff's defection is related to him...
Unable to decide who to trust Maria Hill had no choice but to risk contacting Nick Fury's 'enemy'.
I just hope that the enemy of my enemy is not her enemy...
Maria Hill restarted the car; she needed to find a safe place to hide until tomorrow morning.
