Of those present, only Christine, Vivian, and Yelena remained without assigned tasks.
They watched Richard expectantly, awaiting their task.
Unexpectedly, Richard clapped his hands and said, "Alright, everyone, go about your business!"
" Melina, take Maria to hand over her work first, and also help her arrange accommodation."
"Okay, boss!" Melina replied with a smile.
Maria quickly walked up to Melina and shook her hand.
"Manager Melina, I've long heard that you are the chief research expert at the Red Room. I hope we can have a pleasant collaboration in the future..."
"Of course, Commander Hill ..." Melina said with a charming smile, "I'm probably the happiest person to have you join the Red Room!"
"Previously, I held two positions, being responsible for both the organization's daily management and the Scientific Research Department, which greatly slowed down the Scientific Research Department progress. Now, I can focus on research."
"You don't know, the boss gave me several research projects before, but my time and energy are limited, and there are still two projects that haven't made any progress at all..."
"Oh, a research assignment from the boss? I'll have to take a good look..."
The two left the office chatting and laughing.
Natasha and Hawkeye exchanged a glance, then turned and left in perfect unison.
Yelena pouted, about to speak with a look of dissatisfaction, when Natasha grabbed her arm and forcibly led her away.
Christine and Vivian looked at Richard and said in unison:
" Richard, what about my mission?"
Richard walked over, pressed the two women down into chairs, and said with a smile:
"Your tasks are also very important..."
He returned to his office chair and looked at Vivian first.
" Vivian, you've just arrived in this world and are unfamiliar with everything here, so for now, you'll serve as Maria's assistant, helping her handle the daily affairs of the Red Room ..."
Vivian frowned slightly, clearly dissatisfied with the arrangement; her personality wouldn't allow any woman to stand above her.
Richard knew exactly what she was thinking and quickly reassured her, "Don't worry, this is just a temporary arrangement. Once you're familiar with this world, you'll be in charge of the Red Room's Intelligence Department."
Vivian nodded, reluctantly agreeing, "Alright then..."
Richard then turned his gaze to Christine: " Clea..."
Christine straightened her back and asked expectantly, "Yes, boss!"
Richard chuckled softly, looking at her energetic state, and thought to himself: It's been a long time since I've seen Christine Palmer like this...
Although she seemed to have adapted very well to Kamar-Taj -Kamar-Taj before, the fact that she didn't make many friends there shows that she actually preferred her busy life in the hospital.
" Clea, your task is also very challenging. The Red Room doesn't currently have its own Medical Department. I need you to build the Red Room's Medical Department from scratch."
Christine clenched her fist excitedly, her eyes sparkling. "No problem, leave it to me!"
After saying that, she jumped off her seat impatiently, ready to leave.
Richard quickly raised his hand to stop her. "Wait a minute, Clea! Don't rush off!"
Christine turned her head and asked, "Is there anything else?"
Richard gestured helplessly to the seat. "Go back to your seat..."
"Okay..." Christine reluctantly sat back down, but the seat felt like it was nailed to her, and her bottom kept squirming.
Vivian looked at Christine like this, a smile of interest playing on her lips.
Richard sighed. Let the woman be... he wouldn't lose out anyway...
"Setting up the Medical Department isn't urgent; I have another task for you..."
"What mission?" Christine's little bottom bounced up, and she bent over, gripping the edge of the table, her big gray-blue eyes blinking as she stared at her boyfriend.
"Go and buy back the Manhattan Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York!" Richard said calmly.
"Acquire the Presbyterian Hospital?!" Christine's eyes lit up. "No problem, leave it to me!"
Vivian's eyes lit up as she listened. She had heard about Richard's complicated relationship with the Presbyterian Hospital from Christine yesterday. Was this acquisition of the Presbyterian Hospital going to be a show of showing off and slapping people in the face?!
She couldn't miss out on such a good show!
Vivian quickly raised her hand. " Richard, I want to go with Clea to acquire the Manhattan Presbyterian Hospital!"
"Huh?" Richard looked at Vivian blankly.
Vivian quickly grabbed Christine's arm. " Clea is too soft-hearted. What if she gets bullied by the people at that hospital? I'll go with her and help her out!"
After saying that, she secretly winked at Christine.
Although Christine didn't know what Vivian was up to, she still chose to cover for her.
"Yes, yes, let Vivian come with me. I... I'm suddenly a little scared..."
Richard sighed, too lazy to care about Vivian's intentions; as long as she wouldn't harm Clea, that was all that mattered.
"Alright, remember to bring a group of Widow with you when you go."
"OK!" Vivian gave an 'OK' sign and eagerly pulled Christine along as they ran out of the office.
Richard leaned back in his chair and stretched.
"That's it for the Red Room for now. Next up are Shay and Kenneth..."
In outer space, on an invisible Starship.
Nick Fury stormed up to Talos, slamming his hands on the table and looking down at him, his single eye now filled with rage.
" Talos, look at the foolish things your people have done!"
Talos quickly got up to comfort him.
" Nick, don't be angry. Sit down and talk it over."
Nick Fury plopped down opposite him, his face dark, and said, "My people just contacted me... Half an hour ago, 'I' issued the order for the defection and assassination of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Commander Maria Hill!"
Talos asked, puzzled, "Uh, I don't quite understand, Nick... what does the defection of the S.H.I.E.L.D.. commander have to do with my people?"
"Fuck you!" Nick Fury slammed his fist on the table. "Just half an hour ago, I was on the Starship with Winnie!"
Talos frowned immediately. He raised a hand to reassure Nick Fury and said, "I understand, Nick. Wait a minute, I need to ask Kinsley..."
" Talos, Kinsley has caused me a lot of trouble on Earth, so he can't stay there any longer!" Nick Fury said, getting up and leaving.
" Nick!" Talos reached out his hand, but Nick Fury ignored him and walked away.
"Damn it!" Talos slammed his fist on the table in anger and immediately contacted Kinsley.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, Director's Office.
Kinsley, disguised as Nick Fury, is assigning tasks to several of his kin who have been replaced as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
" Conn, take a team to the New York branch of S.H.I.E.L.D.. If you find Maria Hill, kill her!"
Disguised as a muscular, dark-skinned young Black man Conn stood at attention and pounded his chest. "Yes, sir!"
"Ray, take a team to the Hub Headquarters. Maria Hill has a command center there. Take everything inside and destroy it all!"
Lei, disguised as a handsome young white man, nodded and said, "Yes, sir!"
Kinsley's gaze then shifted to the small, thin Black woman. " Annie, you're Avina's best friend, and she's missing... her fate is unknown..."
Nick Fury's black complexion quickly returned to its original green, Kinsley's eyes revealed endless grief. "Find Avina, alive or dead!"
"Also, find that bastard Clint Barton for me! I want to tear him limb from limb and shred him to pieces!!!"
Annie nodded and said, "Yes, sir! I will definitely find Avina!"
Just then, the cell phone on the table suddenly rang.
Kinsley glanced at the caller ID, waved, and said, "Go! Get started immediately!"
"Yes, sir!"
The three turned and quickly left.
Kinsley quickly reverted to Nick Fury's appearance, clicked to answer, and Talos's virtual projection appeared on the phone. " Talos, what do you need?"
" Kinsley!" Talos looked furious. "Why did you issue the order to assassinate Maria Hill without authorization?!"
Kinsley leaned back in his chair and scoffed, " Nick Fury complaining to you again?"
Talos said coldly, "Answer me, why?"
Kinsley shrugged and said, "That woman discovered my identity. There was no other way but to eliminate her..."
" Kinsley, you...you've disappointed me so much!" Talos said, his face filled with disappointment. "I told you time and time again that the Skrulls are merely inhabitants of Earth, and all our actions must be carried out with utmost secrecy and caution..."
"But you always cause trouble so recklessly, Nick is already very unhappy with you, he..."
"Enough!" Kinsley interrupted Talos, glaring at his virtual projection. " Nick Fury, Nick Fury, why are you always so worried about that one-eyed bastard!"
"Decades ago, he and his people were nothing more than slaves fit only to pick cotton!"
"He's not Carol Danvers!"
"What's there to be afraid of?!"
Talos's green face darkened slightly as he suppressed his anger and said, "Old friend, do you remember those years when the Skrulls wandered and roamed the stars?"
Kinsley instinctively covered his forehead, where a gruesome scar lay. "I will never forget those shameful years!"
Talos's eyes widened. "Then you should be grateful! Because of Nick Fury, we have a safe haven for now!"
"Without him, we might have already perished at the hands of the Kree!"
Kinsley scoffed, "Grateful? Talos, it seems the Kree pursuit has terrified you..."
"You're like a docile sheep now, no, you still have a few sharp teeth, you're more like an old dog chained up by Nick Fury!"
"You have lost the blood and Glory of the Skrulls; you are no longer a valiant warrior!"
"Look at yourself now, Talos. You look exactly like Nick Fury, the enslaved Russian, decades ago."
"Shut up!" Talos's virtual projection heaved violently, his expression contorted with Wrath: "I now command you in the name of the leader to return to the Wanderer immediately!"
Kinsley sneered, "NO, I refuse!"
