Return to Mjolnir Base.
Phil Coulson first had the bodies of the Warriors Three of Asgard taken to the morgue.
Then they opened the door again and took the seriously injured Sif to the Combat Nun Guard Headquarters.
"Wait for me!" Jemma Simmons quickly slung her medical kit over her shoulder and ran into the Portal.
When Phil returned, Thor, who had been waiting impatiently, grabbed his arm.
"Hey, Son of Coul, tell me right now what's going on?!"
Phil Coulson pointed to the sofa and smiled, "Sit down and let's talk, Prince Thor."
Thor grunted and said unhappily, "You're such a dawdler, my friend!"
He turned around and plopped down on the sofa.
"Can you tell me now?"
Phil shook his head, smiled, and sat down before saying, "The great Lord of Crimson and Odin, the King of Gods, have an agreement: you can only return to Asgard after you have completed the trial."
"Wait?!" Thor quickly raised his hand, frowning as he asked, " The Lord of Crimson? The Pact? The Trial?!"
"Who is this Lord of Crimson you're talking about? And what's this 'promise' all about?!"
"You know the Lord of Crimson too..." Phil Coulson replied with a smile, "He is none other than Richard Majesty Richard."
"As for the agreement..."
He shook his head and smiled wryly, "That's not something someone of my status would know."
"Wait?! You're saying the Lord of Crimson is Richard?! The Sorcerer Richard?!" Thor was utterly astonished.
As the successor of Asgard, he knew very well that those who held the title of 'Lord of So-and-so' were either liars, megalomaniacs, or Dimensional Deity.
With Richard's abilities, he couldn't possibly be a fraud or a megalomaniac...
Thor exclaimed in astonishment, " Richard Sorcerer Richard is actually a Dimensional Deity?! No wonder his power is so immense!"
"But what on earth is this trial you're talking about?"
Phil Coulson gave a wry smile and shrugged. "I don't know. High Priestess Strucker only told me this much..."
"However, I suspect it might be related to the Destroyer suddenly appeared and attacked you..."
Upon hearing this, Thor's face suddenly stiffened.
He said in a trembling voice, "If the Destroyer is a trial, then Fandral and the others..."
Phil Coulson looked at Thor with sympathy. "Perhaps it was the sacrifice of those three warriors that caused your trial to fail."
"No, that's not right!" Thor shook his head. "To die on the battlefield in Asgard is the highest Glory!"
"According to Asgard custom, the souls of Fandral and his Fandral who died heroically will ascend to Valhalla!"
"This..." Phil Coulson didn't know what to say.
"So, what exactly is the trial?" Thor crossed his arms and frowned deeply.
"Uh... Prince Thor, let's discuss the trial later," Phil Coulson said with a wry smile. "We have more important things to attend to right now."
Thor was taken aback. "What's more important?"
Phil Coulson's expression turned serious. "This desert... will soon become a massive battlefield."
"Battlefield?"
Phil Coulson stated, "For thousands of years, Earth has been coveted by various powerful forces..."
"I know that. Asgard has protected Midgard for countless years."
"..." Phil Coulson continued, "The great Lord of Crimson has decided to open Earth's Magical Defense Barrier, letting in those forces that have been eyeing Earth, to be eliminated one by one."
"What?!" Thor's jaw dropped in shock. "Do you know how many forces are eyeing Midgard?! Your decision will destroy Midgard!"
Phil Coulson raised his hand and placed it on his shoulder. "No need to worry, Prince Thor."
"The great Lord of Crimson has locked the battlefield onto this desert."
"Huh?" Thor exclaimed incredulously, "How... how did you do that?!"
Phil Coulson shook his head. "I don't know."
"But High Priestess Strucker sent word that this base is the only safe zone on the entire battlefield."
Thor raised an eyebrow and said, "So, you want me to stay here and protect the base?"
"No." Phil Coulson shook his head again. "According to the High Priestess, you must enter the battlefield and survive to the end."
"What?!" Thor was immediately enraged. "He dares to order Thor the God of Thunder?!"
"Calm down, Prince Thor!" Phil Coulson quickly reassured him, "This is an agreement between the Lord of Crimson and the King of Gods..."
"..."
Thor asked with a dark expression, "As long as I survive to the end on the battlefield, I've completed the trial, right?"
"Uh..." Phil Coulson shook his head. "I don't know."
"..."
Thor gripped Mjolnir tightly, and suddenly felt a surge of Thunder strike that would kill the clueless bastard before him.
He was panting heavily, and asked through gritted teeth, "Besides this, are there any other agreements?"
Phil Coulson shook his head again. "I don't know."
"You...!" Thor stood up abruptly, glaring at Phil Coulson, and suddenly said, "I'm going to get some sleep. Send someone to let me know when the battle starts."
After saying that, he turned and left.
"Uh..." Phil Coulson quickly stood up and shouted, " Prince Thor, please remember that the base is the only safe point on the battlefield. If you are seriously injured, please retreat here as soon as possible."
Thor's figure suddenly paused, then he burst into even greater speed and fled.
Meanwhile, the Warriors Three of Asgard, whose souls should have ascended to Valhalla, opened their eyes again and found themselves in a dark world.
"Where am I? Fandral! Hogun!"
"Stop shouting, Volstagg!"
" Hogun?! Hahaha, my good bro! It's so great to see you again! Uh, by the way, where's Fandral?"
"They've gone ahead to scout the way."
"By the way, where is this place?"
"I don't know, but Fandral guesses this is the lost Helheim."
"Huh?! Weren't we supposed to ascend to Valhalla? How did we end up in this godforsaken place?!"
"I have no idea."
"Okay." Volstagg rubbed his stomach in the dark. "Hey, Hogun, got anything to eat? I'm a little hungry."
"... No. We're all dead, how can you still feel hungry?"
Suddenly, a cold female voice rang out in the darkness.
"Because I believe that the dead also need to eat."
With a "whoosh," a ball of light rose up, illuminating an area of several dozen meters around it.
Volstagg and Hogun stared in horror at their left front, where a Giant Black Wolf stood.
A cold and noble goddess sat atop the giant wolf.
With a wave of her hand, the goddess sent a figure flying in front of the two of them.
Volstagg and Hogun took a step back warily and looked down.
Upon seeing the man's face, he immediately exclaimed, " Fandral?!" x 2
