Inquisitor Cass Soren, head of White Mist Sector 23, stared silently at the deep crater not far ahead.
Thor the God of Thunder lay on his back at the bottom of the pit, sleeping peacefully.
Cass swung his sword, cleaving a nearby Skeleton Warrior in two, and couldn't help but curse, "Damn it, is Thor the God of Thunder some kind of rip-off?!"
"With this level of skill, they dare to overestimate themselves and volunteer to be the top combat force?!"
"I could do that too, damn it!"
"Grass!"
He turned and shouted to his two Arbiter not far away, " Yuri! Gibson! You two come here and get this idiot to the base safe zone right now!"
"Hurry up, speed up! Don't let him die on the way and cause another diplomatic incident!"
"Coming, boss!" Yuri and Gibson replied quickly. They jogged to the edge of the pit and jumped in.
The two men, one on each side, grabbed Thor's arms and tried to lift him up.
They tried several times, but Thor was glued to the bottom of the pit, completely unmoving.
Yuri looked up helplessly and complained, "Boss! This thing is too heavy, we can't lift it at all!"
"Damn it! Have you two not eaten?!" Cass kicked a charging Skeleton Swordsman to pieces, then walked to the edge of the pit cursing.
He said with utter disgust, "Let him go, I'll do it myself!"
Yuri and Gibson got up and stepped back.
Cass jumped down, grabbed Thor's shoulders, and lifted him up with force.
"Huh???! Something's not right with this thing?!"
"This weight is heavier than a mountain!"
Gibson's eyes lit up, and he chuckled as he offered a terrible idea, "Boss, if you ask me, we should just leave this guy here!"
Cass glared at him sideways and cursed, "Bullshit! This guy may not live up to his name, but he is still a genuine crown prince!"
"If you really leave him here and someone manages to kill him, are you going to commit seppuku in Asgard to atone for your sins?!"
"Uh..." Gibson rubbed his nose and quickly turned his head away.
Cass waved his hand impatiently. "Stop talking nonsense, you two hurry up and come over here, the three of us will get him up there together!"
"Alright, boss!"
Yuri and Gibson quickly went over, and the three of them grabbed Thor's arms and legs.
"On my command, one! two! three! go!"
Even with all three of them exerting force, Thor remained lying upright and motionless.
Cass cursed, his face dark, "Damn it, I don't believe it!"
"One more time, on my command!"
"One! Two! Three! Go!!!"
A flash of crimson light appeared on his body; he had actually used Mana to enhance his power.
Even so, they still couldn't lift Thor up.
"Fuck! You can't even lift it like that?!"
Yuri frowned at Thor, his gaze suddenly fixing on the hammer on Thor's chest. "Boss! I know what the problem is!"
He pointed at the hammer and said, "If I'm not mistaken, this hammer should be the legendary Mjolnir, Thor's hammer!"
"I heard this thing is incredibly heavy! No one but Thor the God of Thunder himself can lift it!"
Cass glanced at Mjolnir, then followed the Hammerhead to Thor's right hand gripping the handle tightly, and immediately showed a look of disgust.
"Even when he's dizzy, he still can't let go!"
"No wonder the boss complained before that this guy shouldn't be called God of Thunder, he should be called God of Hammers!"
At that moment, Mjolnir seemed to have heard their conversation and floated up from Thor's chest.
Thor's right arm was pulled up as well...
Cass:...
He glanced at Thor, pursed his lips, then rubbed his chin and said, "Could this hammer really be a divine artifact?!"
"Whoever takes it is God of Thunder?!"
Then he realized what was happening and, in a fit of anger, slapped Gibson, who was closest to him.
"Stop fucking looking! The hammer's flying by itself, hurry up and get this guy out of here!"
Gibson rubbed the back of his head, not daring to retort.
He could tell that his boss was in a very bad mood, so he didn't dare to cause any trouble.
He subtly winked at Yuri, who, having once been a kindred Yuri, nodded in understanding.
The two men lifted Thor up and ran away as if fleeing.
Cass leaped out of the pit and once again conjured a two-handed greatsword.
He looked around with his sword in hand, and the ordinary monsters that had invaded White Mist Sector 23 were no match for him.
Just then, the Bone Dragon that Thor had been targeting flew over his head.
So he simply pointed at the Bone Dragon and shouted sternly, "Hey, you bone shard! Get down here and die!"
The Bone Dragon's eyes burned with the Soul Fire, clearly inheriting the wisdom of its previous life.
Although it couldn't understand the language Cass was speaking, it could guess his meaning from his incredibly arrogant tone and attitude.
"Roar!" The Bone Dragon roared Wrath, spewing a Death Dragon Breath directly at Cass.
"Hahaha, that's it!" Cass grinned as he raised his greatsword and leaped into the air to meet the Death Dragon Breath.
Suddenly, the boots he was wearing began to shine.
Cass stepped off mid-air, his body rising once more.
He held the sword in both hands, and the scarlet greatsword was engulfed in blazing flames.
"Open fire on the labor and management...!"
'Sizzle!'
The burning crimson greatsword sliced the Death Dragon Breath in two.
Cass took several steps in the air, defying the current and rapidly approaching the Bone Dragon in the sky.
The Soul Fire in the Bone Dragon flickered violently, and it opened its mouth and roared, "Roar!"
It immediately retracted its bone wings and swooped down.
Cass's eyes gleamed, and he roared with laughter, "That's it! Come and fight me to the death!!!"
The burning greatsword and the Giant Dragon bone claws clashed instantly.
'boom!'
The Bone Dragon's hard bone claws cracked instantly, and its massive, lunging body was pushed back.
But Cass's fate was even worse...
The Bone Dragon's immense strength instantly blasted him into a meteor, embedding him into the ground with a 'boom'.
"Whoa!" Cass coughed up a mouthful of blood, but his excitement only grew. "That feels great! Hahahaha~"
Cass struggled to his feet, leaning on his crimson greatsword, and hooked his left index finger.
"Get down! Continue!"
The Bone Dragon flapped its wings, seemingly eager to try.
Suddenly, an order came.
It glanced at Cass with regret, then turned and flew toward the other Arbiter.
Cass roared in dissatisfaction, "Hey, we're not finished fighting yet, why are you leaving?! Come back! Get back here!"
At that moment, a cold, hoarse voice suddenly rang in his ears.
"I never imagined there could be a warrior like you on Earth..."
"In the name of the Lord of Soul Devouring, I, the Soul Hunter Chloes, personally grant you eternal slumber!"
A gigantic, gray hand burst from the ground and passed through Cass's body.
The light in Cass's eyes quickly dimmed, his body swayed, and he collapsed to the ground with a thud.
With its Master's death, the crimson greatsword, deprived of its Mana power, slowly vanished, turning into specks of Mana light...
