"Every time, I found strength while wandering in loneliness. Every time, even when deeply hurt, I refused to let tears show. I knew I'd always had a pair of invisible wings, carrying me as I flew, flying beyond despair..."
Hanabi Hyuga hummed the song she had heard from Naruto while helping Kaguya trim her hair.
Kaguya asked curiously, "That's a nice song. Who taught it to you?"
"The person I mentioned to you before."
Hanabi Hyuga seemed to recall something and pouted unhappily. "Hmph, I asked him several times where he learned it, but every time he brushed it off and changed the subject. He wouldn't even tell me. I think he must have learned it from that friend named Awen."
"A friend?"
Kaguya fell silent. Hanabi Hyuga had told her that she came from the spacetime of the future, about ninjas as well, yet she knew absolutely nothing about her.
She did not exist in the future. Could it be that her decision had been wrong? Had she truly died at that person's hands, fed to the Ten-Tails and transformed into the God Tree?
Over the past few days, Hanabi Hyuga had told Kaguya all about herself, and Kaguya had likewise shared some things about herself.
"Big Sister Kaguya, are you still worried about that person called Ōtsutsuki Isshiki?" Seeing Kaguya frown, Hanabi Hyuga immediately thought of the enemy Kaguya feared.
Kaguya remained silent. She had arrived on this planet ahead of Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, but he would be arriving soon as well. She did not want to feed her own body to the Ten-Tails.
Unlike the other members of the Otsutsuki Clan, Kaguya did not want to abandon her body, much less become an Ōtsutsuki God, allowing her soul to leave her flesh and ascend into a new dimension.
