Inside the Hokage Office, Naruto looked at the people assigned to the mission with him. Things had changed again, another alteration caused by the butterfly effect. Neji and Rock Lee from Awen's memories were gone, replaced by Kakashi and Hinata Hyuga.
Kakashi asked strangely, "What is it, Naruto?"
"Um, um... ah, right! Why is Hinata coming with us?" Naruto had wanted to ask where Neji and Rock Lee had gone, but quickly realized that would be suspicious and abruptly changed the subject.
Tsunade said, "Hinata's Byakugan can be used for reconnaissance and detection. She'll take Sasuke's place."

Shizune said softly, "Lady Tsunade, about Sasuke..."
