History
Creation and early era
Pangu opened the Primordial Wilderness from Chaos with three Chaos Supreme Treasures. After a powerful being from Taishi Chaos pursued the Primordial Chaos Bead, Pangu used his body to suppress the newly opened world and hide it from outside Chaos realms. The Great Dao’s retreat was part of a joint effort by several Chaos realms to seal the Taiji Chaos World and prevent the rise of Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortals 220.
The early world was dominated by the Ferocious Beast Tribulation. Dense Calamity Qi filled the land, slaughter was constant, and even Heavenly Immortals stood near the bottom of the food chain 1. Ferocious Beasts originated from the shattered remains of the three thousand Gods and Devils who opposed Pangu; their Sha Qi polluted Innate Spiritual Qi and harmed the world’s development 20.
The Ferocious Beast Tribulation ended with the death of Beast Emperor Shen Ni. Calamity Qi dissipated, Innate Spiritual Qi became richer, and the world entered a more favorable age for cultivation 47.
Dragon-Han and Witch-Demon conflicts
Ancestor Dragon, Primeval Qilin, and Yuanfeng established the Dragon, Kirin, and Phoenix Clans, respectively, beginning the Dragon-Han Primordial Tribulation 62. Their conflict eventually devastated the world: the Ancestor Dragon and Primeval Qilin perished, while Yuanfeng withdrew the Phoenix Clan after suffering grave injuries 105.
The later Witch-Demon War brought another catastrophe. The collision between the Grand Formation of the Stars and the Twelve Divine Generals Formation severed Buzhou Mountain, unleashing floods and widespread destruction across the Primordial World 177. Hongjun halted the conflict and decreed that the Witch Race would govern the land while the Demon Race governed the sky 177.
Three Dao era
Houtu established the Earthly Dao through reincarnation, aided by the Witch Race and the merging of the Earth Immortal Realm into the Netherworld 197. Nuwa later established the Human Dao with the destiny of the Human Race, while Hongjun broke free of the Heavenly Dao’s will and accelerated the union of Heaven, Earth, and Man 250 252.
The completed merger enhanced the world’s Origin. Its territory expanded to roughly three times its previous size, Innate Spiritual Qi became vastly denser, Laws grew clearer, and Innate beings, Spiritual Roots, Spiritual Treasures, Immortal Gold, and Divine Ore began to appear in great numbers 253.
Ascension
After strengthening the Great Dao Origin and resolving the Taisu Chaos crisis, Lin Changsheng merged the Chaos Bead and Primordial Chaos Qi into the Primordial World’s Origin. The world evolved into a chaotic world, and its inhabitants experienced rapid advances in cultivation before following him into the Primordial Chaos 285.
