At first, it was merely the divine halo around the Female Emperor growing ever more resplendent, bathing the entire Divine Mountain in a light that made it seem like the Immortal Domain.
Later, the halo began to contract and solidify, eventually becoming a white Light Cocoon three zhang across, enveloping the Female Emperor entirely within.
The Light Cocoon was crystal-clear, countless profound patterns flowing across its surface as though the origin of the Great Dao itself were intertwining and evolving.
Through the Light Cocoon, one could vaguely see a hazy figure seated within. Her aura was sometimes vast as the sea and sometimes faint as a candle flame, cycling endlessly between life and death, existence and nonexistence.
Yet the most extraordinary thing was the "position" of that figure inside the Light Cocoon.
More accurately, it was not the Female Emperor's old body.
The old body still sat outside the Light Cocoon, but it had completely lost all vitality, like an empty shell. White hair hung loose, and the black dress remained, yet not the slightest fluctuation of aura was left.
The Female Emperor's true "rebirth" had "grown" from the Immortal Platform of her old body.
Like an Immortal Flower,
Untainted by the mud from which it rose, never made gaudy by the clear ripples that washed it.
It slowly "bloomed" from the Immortal Platform at the old body's brow. The "Immortal Flower" connected to the Sea of Consciousness within the old body, its petals spreading layer by layer
