Background

An orphan in his early life, Cai wandered as a starving beggar before meeting the weakened Xuan Yu, whom he initially mistook for a freezing black snake. He later chose the name “Cai Jinbai”: Cai means wealth, while Jinbai derives from “yellow and white,” referring to gold and silver. 1 2 33

Cai and Xuan originate from the greater world of Heavenly Mirror.
