The beggar nimbly squeezed past the waiter and settled into the chair opposite Lü Zheng. With a light flick of two fingers, he scooped up a pair of chopsticks and opened his mouth.

The kitchen soon filled with the smell of cooking. The waiter brought over two thick black ceramic jars, a plate of shredded smoked chicken, and a plate of braised beef.
"Please wait a moment, gentlemen. The rest will be ready shortly."
Lü Zheng's expression darkened. He lightly patted the mud seal off the wine cup, poured Su Che a bowl first, then
