From nothing to something, from simple to complex, all things were born of "one qi."
The art of One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones divided one's own qi into three through cultivation.
Shangqing represented the supreme way of the cosmos; the middle pure represented the unseen Order between heaven and earth; the lower pure symbolized the foundation of all living things.
Though the art held different mysteries in different worlds, its underlying principles were much the same.
And so it took form.

"That'll do. You can idle in the Heavenly Court as a mascot, you can go sit in the Root and handle bugs on your own, and you have nothing to do."
Three figures stood before Su Lin.
One was a figure of light whose face could not be seen. A translucent, writhing cloak draped over him, while the phantom of an ocean embracing every color rose and fell around him.
One was an emperor in ceremonial robes and a crown. His aura was lofty and remote; he held the Azure Longsword and looked down upon all things.
One was a monk with his hands joined in a Buddhist salute. Pale golden light covered him, while white lotuses bloomed all around, their fragrance filling the air and bringing a natural sense of purity.
"Why don't I take Spirit Mountain and become the Tathagata from now on?" Salvation filled the monk's eyes. "When you owe enough, one more debt hardly matters. If it comes to it, I can make Sanzang do the work. He's been pretty idle lately, and it annoys me."
"Are you crazy? You think we don't have enough to deal with?" Su Lin replied.
"Do these clones of yours have minds of their own?"
Klein emerged from the
