Ch. 481When the Tiger Was Away
Plot points and events
- The Blood Moon Clan, a brutal Primordial Royal Clan notorious for preying on humans, becomes the target of a Human Race assault. Its leaders intend to capture and consume Ye Fan, the Human Saint Body, as a source of power.
- With Jiang Ming away, Ye Fan organizes the attack and recruits Jiang Ming’s four Half-Saint companions. They are equipped with powerful armor he prepared for them. Gu Qingyao and the Heavenly Jade Saintess lead the operation, joined by Jiang Ming’s Vermilion Bird Totem Deity.
- Ye Fan and Big Black Dog break through the clan’s Great Saint-level defensive formation. The women then storm the territory, defeating the clan’s forces.
- The Heavenly Jade Saintess ambushes and kills the Blood Moon King’s grandson. Gu Qingyao gravely wounds the Old Blood Moon King, whom the Heavenly Jade Saintess uses to hone her skills before killing him.
- Qi Luo stays concealed nearby, while Black Emperor seals off the area so no one escapes. The Blood Moon Clan is completely exterminated, and its resources are seized. The attackers leave the other Primordial Royal Clans to wonder who was responsible.
Character developments and interactions
- Ye Fan takes the initiative against the clan that sought to devour him, coordinating the assault alongside Big Black Dog.
- Jiang Ming’s companions show their readiness to fight rather than remain sheltered. They work together effectively, while Gu Qingyao protects them and gives them room to gain experience.
- The Heavenly Jade Saintess demonstrates formidable combat skill, combining the Nine Secrets to defeat powerful opponents.
- Gu Qingyao acts as both a battlefield leader and a “babysitter,” weakening the clan’s strongest enemy so the others can fight him.
- Black Emperor supports the attack by maintaining a perimeter of killing formations; Qi Luo provides discreet backup.
- The Blood Moon King’s grandson and the Old Blood Moon King are confident in their clan’s power, but their threats and outrage cannot stop the assault.
