Lao Zi and Yuanshi Attain Enlightenment

Lao Zi calculated for a moment and said, "Indeed, my path also lies in establishing a sect, but the time is still ten thousand years away?"

Tong Tian comforted him, "A mere ten thousand years is but a blink of an eye. Eldest Brother, do not be anxious."

Lao Zi laughed heartily, "That's true, ten thousand years is no trouble at all."

Yuanshi said to Tong Tian, "May I borrow your disciple Bo Huang for a while? I always feel a connection with that young man."

Tong Tian asked, "Could it be that Second Brother has not yet understood his own path?"

Yuanshi cursed inwardly, Good for you, Tong Tian, speaking such blunt truths. You're just going to become a Saint before me, aren't you? Hmph, this disciple shouldn't stay too long. With that thought, Yuanshi waved his sleeve, took a pot of tea from Tong Tian, and left.

Tong Tian looked at Lao Zi speechlessly and said, "Eldest Brother, look at Second Brother..."

Lao Zi replied, "Alright, Second Brother is worried about his lack of experience in preaching. He heard that young Bo Huang has high comprehension and intends to have Bo Huang listen to his teachings."

He walked up to Yuanshi and bowed respectfully, expressing his reverence for his Second Martial Uncle.

"No need for such formality," Yuanshi smiled slightly, his tone warm and amiable. "I summoned you here today because I have no disciples under my tutelage. As you know, the opportunity for the Three Pure Ones to become Saints lies in preaching the Dao. Tong Tian said your comprehension is astonishing, so listen as I expound on the Dao of Jade Purity..."

Yuanshi began to preach, his voice like heavenly music, melodious and solemn. Bo Huang listened quietly, his eyes becoming focused and reverent. The air in the palace seemed to freeze, and time appeared to stop.

As Yuanshi spoke, the entire palace seemed to transform into another world. Stars twinkled from the celestial canopy, dazzlingly bright; waterfalls cascaded down the walls, playing a magnificent symphony. On the palace walls, exquisite murals vividly depicted scenes from ancient myths, with immortals dancing in the clouds, auspicious clouds swirling, and ethereal music drifting.

Bo Huang's thoughts soared with Yuanshi's teachings, as if he were in a magical and beautiful celestial realm, experiencing the profoundness and breadth of the Dao of Jade Purity. He gradually understood that the Dao of Jade Purity was a state of merging with nature, resonating with the universe, a cultivation that transcended the mortal world.

After the sermon, Bo Huang was filled with reverence and emotion. He deeply thanked Yuanshi for his teachings, knowing he had received precious enlightenment from this listening session.

"Second Martial Uncle, your teachings have been truly beneficial," Bo Huang bowed to Yuanshi again, expressing his gratitude.

Yuanshi chuckled, "Don't thank me just yet. Share any insights you've gained."

Bo Huang nodded and said, "The Dao of Heaven is to follow Heaven and destiny..."

Yuanshi laughed heartily, "Good, you are indeed talented." Then, Yuanshi swore to the heavens, "Heavenly Dao above, I, Primordial Lord of Heaven of Jade Purity, following the Ancestor of Dao's will to enlighten the Great Desolation, now establish a sect, named the Heavenly Origin Sect, to suppress its destiny with the Pangu Banner, and use the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi as the treasure for proving the Dao. 'Tian Yuan' means to illuminate. To follow Heaven and destiny, to illuminate the Great Dao, may Heaven's Dao bear witness! The Heavenly Origin Sect is established."

"Rumble," the Heavenly Dao responded, descending merits. The merits of establishing the sect triggered the merits of Pangu's creation within Primordial Lord of Heaven's Primordial Spirit, instantly refining the Primordial Violet Qi...

Bo Huang said, "Martial Uncle, your Heavenly Origin Sect currently has no disciples..."

Yuanshi smiled upon hearing this, "Since a sect is established, disciples must naturally be recruited. Do you have any good suggestions?"

Bo Huang scratched his head and said, "Martial Uncle, I believe that when recruiting disciples, character should come first. That Chang Er from the outer sect of the Intercepting Sect has poor character. I wanted to teach him a lesson, but Duobao stopped me, and I even fought with Duobao over it."

Yuanshi laughed heartily, "I am not like Tong Tian. I am very strict when recruiting disciples. This time, I plan to set up a grand formation. I will recruit disciples based on destiny, character, and cultivation. You can also come and challenge the formation then, to temper your state of mind."

Bo Huang was overjoyed. He bowed respectfully and left. After Bo Huang left, Yuanshi transmitted a message to the Great Desolation: "I am Primordial Lord of Heaven of Jade Purity. In a hundred days, I will set up three grand formations on Mount Kunlun. Those with destiny may become disciples of the Heavenly Origin Sect."

Finally, those with deep fortune were: Guang Chengzi, Chi Jingzi, True Lord Huang Long, Ju Liusun, True Lord Taiyi, Great Master Lingbao, Venerable Manjushri, True Lord Samantabhadra, Daoist Cihang, True Lord Jade Cauldron, Venerable Daoxing, True Lord Qingxu Daode, and Yun Zhongzi, who were the twelve Golden Immortals and the Golden Immortal of Virtue, Yun Zhongzi, of the Heavenly Origin Sect in later generations.
