The Ancient One Comes Calling, the Future Needs You

Early the next morning,

Susan got up early and limped off to the company.

She had no choice. She needed to follow up on what happened last night.

Lin Feng was left lying in bed alone, staring blankly.

What a workaholic!

That was right. The visitor was none other than the Ancient One, the strongest woman on Earth.

She possessed powerful magic and watched over Earth, while also controlling the Time Stone among the Infinity Stones.

Her presence had prevented the Dark Dimension from invading Earth.

She had protected Earth through the long years.

Hearing him, the Ancient One looked at Lin Feng and smiled faintly. "You know me. That is quite unexpected..."

Yet there was not much surprise in her tone.

Lin Feng smiled and nodded. "You do not seem surprised at all, Sorcerer."

The Ancient One shook her head. "May we talk?"

It was hard to summon any desire to refuse an invitation from the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Of course." Lin Feng nodded. He had long expected the Ancient One to come.

Right now, he could not afford to provoke the Ancient One. Superman's magical resistance was not exactly impressive—it was basically nonexistent.

Simply tossing Lin Feng into the Mirror Dimension would be enough to give him a headache.

Besides, Lin Feng held a trace of heartfelt respect for this sorcerer who had devoted her life to protecting Earth.

"Sorcerer, please sit." Lin Feng invited the Ancient One to take a seat.

After thinking briefly, Lin Feng exchanged 50,000 prestige points through the system for some Life Tree tea leaves and began brewing them.

"Did you come to see me for something, Sorcerer?" Lin Feng asked, pushing a cup of freshly brewed tea before the Ancient One.

"Hmm?" Just as the Ancient One was about to answer, her gaze was involuntarily drawn to the tea Lin Feng had pushed over.

With her sharp senses, she detected an unprecedented aura of life contained within the tea.

"What is this?" For the first time, the Ancient One showed a surprised expression.

"Just some ordinary tea. There is no need to mind it, Sorcerer." Lin Feng waved a hand. These tea leaves came from the same place as the necklace he had given Susan.

They were products of Elf Village—the leaves of the Ancient Life Tree. They contained immense life force and possessed the miraculous effects of healing hidden injuries, replenishing stamina, and restoring life energy.

The Ancient One gave Lin Feng a meaningful look before lifting the tea and taking a sip.

As the tea went down, an incomparably comforting life energy washed through her body, leaving her deeply at ease.

The Ancient One even sensed that the life energy could extend one's lifespan. The effect was not great, but if she had possessed something like this back then, perhaps she would not have needed to draw power from the Dark Dimension...

"Remarkable tea..." Even the Ancient One could not help praising it.

"Even if I come from another world, I am still a Blue Star native!" Lin Feng's stance was firm as he continued, "I will not harm Blue Star. On the contrary, I will protect her."

Of course, Lin Feng knew what the Ancient One feared. She feared that he would destroy Blue Star.

Without waiting for Lin Feng to say goodbye, the Ancient One added, "Thank you for the tea leaves, Lin Feng. You may come visit me when you have time."

With that, the Ancient One opened a Portal and stepped through it.

"Wait, Sorcerer!" Lin Feng called out.

The Ancient One turned back, still smiling as she looked at Lin Feng.

"Can I learn magic?" Lin Feng asked. He wanted to know whether he could learn magic.

It would not conflict with Superman's powers. Magic such as Portals would make many things much more convenient for Lin Feng.

"Magic... yes." The Ancient One smiled and nodded.

"But not now."

Before Lin Feng could happily ask to become her disciple, the Ancient One poured cold water over him.

"When that day arrives, I will come find you again."

"I cannot stay any longer. You have other guests!" With that, the Ancient One vanished through the Portal.

More words Lin Feng did not understand. When that day arrived? What day?

Lin Feng was somewhat bewildered.

What exactly had the Ancient One come here for? Just to say a bunch of things he could not understand?

Lin Feng could not figure it out.

Still, he had received some good news. At least he could learn magic.

As for the Ancient One saying he had other guests—who could they be?

Lin Feng felt that, as expected of a sorcerer, he could not understand two out of every three sentences she said.

However, before long, Lin Feng understood.

The doorbell rang, and Lin Feng went to open the door with a strange expression.
