Facing the setting sun, Lin Feng drove Tony's R8 sports car and arrived at the villa listed in the address before nightfall.
After parking, Lin Feng walked toward the first home of his life.
As far as the eye could see, it was like a small estate, with a two-story villa situated in the middle of a vast lawn.
The architectural style was minimalist, and there was a modest fountain at the entrance, continuously spraying clear water.
What pleased Lin Feng most was the sizable swimming pool in the backyard.
Hmm? Seeing that, Lin Feng could not help but start fantasizing.
He imagined himself playing in the water with his future wife.
At once, Lin Feng's heart began to itch.
He wondered who he should choose as his wife. There were countless beauties in Marvel.
Hela?
Not ideal. He did not like dark circles, and hers were a bit of a mood killer.
Natasha?
How should he put it? Natasha was actually quite to Lin Feng's taste.
But Lin Feng felt that Wanda's Big Bears suited his appetite even better.
He wondered whether he could handle those two Big Bears!
As Lin Feng fantasized, he toured the entire villa and found himself extremely satisfied.
The villa was cleaned by dedicated housekeeping staff and was spotless, so Lin Feng did not need to lift a finger.
When he opened the refrigerator, he found plenty of expensive ingredients inside. Pepper had probably arranged them, so dinner was taken care of as well.
Lin Feng took out a steak and a bottle of beer. Before transmigrating, he had learned to make a few simple dishes, so frying a steak was no big deal to him, though his skills naturally could not compare to a chef's.
The steak was soon ready, medium-well, exactly how Lin Feng liked it.
Sitting at the dining table, he enjoyed his dinner while sorting out in his mind what path he should take from now on.
Lin Feng had transmigrated to the period of Iron Man 1, when Marvel's storyline was just beginning to develop in earnest.
Future dangers were about to take root. Lin Feng knew perfectly well that he needed to prepare early.
In the main storyline, the greatest future enemy, the Purple Potato Monster, should still be searching the universe for information on the Infinity Stones.
Captain America was still buried beneath the ice, though he should be dug out before long.
Odin's idiot eldest son should be about to get exiled to Earth, right? And that Hulk bastard—Lin Feng could not remember whether it was before or after Thor came to Earth.
There was also Spider-Man, Strange, and the rest.
As Lin Feng pondered, he speared a piece of steak and chewed it. It was fucking delicious. Life with money really was great...
Peter Parker should still be a little brat right now, while Strange was still a surgeon. Lin Feng still had a long time to grow.
Thinking of Strange reminded him of The Ancient One, that wise mage who seemed to know everything.
He wondered whether The Ancient One had discovered him, a transmigrator.
Still, Lin Feng was not overly worried about The Ancient One. She was not some bloodthirsty person. There was no reason for her to attack him just because he was an outsider.
Weren't there already plenty of aliens on Blue Star? The Ancient One had not driven them away either.
But Lin Feng suddenly remembered that Superman's magic resistance seemed to be very low.
Just how low, he could not say. He had never tested it.
But low magic resistance could very well become his greatest and most fatal weakness.
He had to find a way to solve it.
Of course, the first thing he needed to solve was Beginner Mission 2.
Obtaining Superman's complete abilities was the most urgent matter at present. Everything else could wait.
Having eaten and drunk his fill, Lin Feng stopped thinking. After a quick wash, he lay down on the soft bed and gradually drifted into sleep.
As Lin Feng waited eagerly, a week passed in the blink of an eye.
That morning, Lin Feng received a call. Seeing Tony Stark's name on the screen, he raised a brow and thought, Here it comes.
The call connected, and Tony's voice came through. "Hey, Lin, your space trip is about to begin! Are you ready?"
"JARVIS should've sent the address to your device! Get over here soon, buddy. If you're late, you'll miss the last ride!"
"Got it! I'll be there soon."
After hanging up, Lin Feng wore a faint smile, unable to suppress his excitement. Just as he had expected.
Today, he could finally become Superman for real!
Skipping breakfast, Lin Feng jumped into the R8 and slammed the accelerator to the floor.
The poor R8 let out an aggrieved roar as it carried Lin Feng, whimpering all the way toward the rocket launch base.
An hour later, Lin Feng, who had nearly driven the car into the scrapyard, finally rushed to the site. Tony was already waiting for him.
When Tony saw Lin Feng arrive, he greeted him. Then the two took the elevator together toward the rocket's nose, where a return capsule held Lin Feng's seat.
Inside the elevator, Tony tossed Lin Feng a black wristband.
Lin Feng caught it and looked down at it.
"What's this?"
It was a black circular metal band with an electronic display, and there seemed to be an earpiece on the side.
"This is your ticket, Lin!" Tony snapped his fingers and said flamboyantly.
"Seriously!" Lin Feng's face darkened as he stared at Tony.
"All right, buddy. You've really got no sense of humor." Tony complained before explaining.
"This is a biometric monitor with communication functions."
"It can monitor your physical condition in real time. If anything goes wrong, you can use it to contact JARVIS or contact me directly."
"Simply put, it's a communication device!"
Lin Feng understood. He nodded and fastened the wristband around his wrist.
"Put on the earpiece. JARVIS will remind you of a few things about entering space."
"Now you need to board, buddy!"
"I'm really looking forward to seeing just how strong you'll become." Tony added with a wink.
Tony's words made Lin Feng laugh. How strong would he become? One casual punch would be enough to scrap Tony's Iron Man armor! Was that strong enough?
"I'll definitely blow your mind." Lin Feng tilted his chin toward Tony, his attitude arrogant.
"I'm not nearsighted. I only like wearing sunglasses." Tony rolled his eyes, then smiled again the next second.
Lin Feng smiled as well. Their relationship had risen to the level of friends.
As they talked, the elevator had already reached the very top of the rocket, where the return capsule was located.
Tony stepped out first and pressed a few spots on the rocket. A hatch slowly popped open.
"Board the ship, buddy!" Tony turned and said.
"Your seat is in here!"
"When you need to come back, just tell JARVIS through the earpiece. He'll bring you back."
Tony tapped his ear, then pointed at the return capsule.
"If anything happens, contact JARVIS or me immediately."
"Got it!"
After replying, Lin Feng stepped into the return capsule.
He looked around curiously. This was Lin Feng's first time taking a rocket into space.
A little curiosity was unavoidable.
The white-toned return capsule was rather cramped, with just enough room for Lin Feng to sit inside.
It had been modified temporarily. Originally, this rocket launch had not been planned to carry anyone.
But at Lin Feng's request, Tony had made some last-minute modifications. Though Tony's words were not always pleasant, his skills really were...
How should Lin Feng put it? He truly deserved to be called a man cursed by knowledge.
After closing the return capsule hatch, Tony took the elevator back to the ground.
The rocket fuel was soon fully loaded, and the countdown stage would begin shortly.
The staff around the rocket quickly cleared the site, while the connections between the launch tower and the rocket's main body gradually disengaged.
Everything was ready. The enormous rocket carrying Lin Feng was about to ignite and lift off...
Inside the rocket launch control room, Tony was checking all kinds of rocket data.
He instructed JARVIS to connect in and thoroughly search for potential hazards.
Tony had not originally needed to watch this launch, but with Lin Feng joining the trip into space, Tony had come personally to ensure his safety.
The staff also stared nervously at every set of data, checking them again and again.
If even the slightest mistake appeared under the big boss's watchful eye, they could pack up and get lost...
Lin Feng studied the return capsule for ages but could not figure out much.
He sat in the aerospace seat, fastened the restraints, took a deep breath, and quietly waited for the rocket to launch.
The moment when he would become Superman was drawing ever closer. Nervousness and anticipation intertwined, leaving Lin Feng mentally excited.
In that excited state, ten minutes passed quickly.
At last, the countdown to launch sounded in Lin Feng's earpiece.
He gripped the handles of the aerospace seat tightly. Honestly, it would have been strange not to be nervous on his first rocket ride.
10... 9... 8... 7... The countdown echoed through his earpiece as Lin Feng slowly swallowed.

Ignition!
Accompanied by a thunderous roar, enormous flames burst from the rocket's tail. The entire rocket began to shake, while fully combusted fuel turned into white smoke that shrouded half the rocket.
A powerful force pressed him into his seat as violent vibrations struck. The massive rocket rose straight from the ground, climbing higher and higher as its speed increased.
This force... damn. It was way stronger than Tony's crappy R8.
Lin Feng was not wearing a spacesuit inside the rocket, but he did possess ten percent of Superman's physical attributes.
He easily withstood the G-forces generated by the rocket's acceleration.
As it rose at extreme speed, the booster rockets continuously separated. Before long, the main body flew beyond the atmosphere and reached its designated orbit.
A strange sensation of weightlessness washed over Lin Feng, filling him with freshness and wonder.
He knew that the rocket had left Earth!
After unfastening his restraints, Lin Feng slowly floated into midair.
Holding onto the return capsule's inner wall, Lin Feng climbed to its only glass window and looked outside.
Before his eyes were countless stars glittering amid endless darkness.
Not far away, an enormous blue-and-white planet filled most of his vision!
That was Blue Star, where Lin Feng lived!
Unlike in photographs, Lin Feng was seeing with his own eyes for the first time the mother planet that had nurtured countless lives.
It was beautiful!
Lin Feng took out his phone, opened the camera, and aimed it out the window.
Click.
After taking several shots in rapid succession, Lin Feng selected the one he thought was best and set it as his lock-screen wallpaper.
The Blue Star he had photographed with his own hands held great commemorative meaning.
Once he got back, he had to post it on social media. Not everyone got to have an experience like this.
"Ding!" The system's voice sounded as well.
"Detected that the host is now in outer space. Please exit the capsule, face the sun, and begin evolution!"
The long-awaited system prompt made Lin Feng's hand pause slightly as he took pictures. He dug at his ear, as if afraid he had misheard.
"Did I hear wrong, or did you say it wrong?"
"You want me to go outside the capsule?"
"If I remember correctly, outer space is minus 270 degrees, right?"
"That is correct, Host! Please exit the capsule."
Hearing the system's reply, black lines appeared across Lin Feng's forehead as his face filled with question marks.
"System, are you sure you want me to go outside? I'm not the complete version of Superman yet!"
"Can I even survive outside the capsule?"
"Rest assured, Host! Just trust the system! Go out without worry. The system has everything under control!"
The system's voice sounded again, leaving Lin Feng no way out!
Lin Feng's eyelids twitched. He took a deep breath and forced himself to remain calm, though his hands trembled slightly.
Fine, then. He had already come this far!
Since the system said there would be no problem, he would trust it once. The system had no reason to harm him, after all.
If he could not even overcome this kind of difficulty, then when the Purple Potato Monster came in the future, was he supposed to find somewhere to hide?
Lin Feng could not do that.
The opportunity to grow stronger was right outside the capsule. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
He had to complete this mission! Gritting his teeth, Lin Feng pressed the button and opened the return capsule hatch.
The instant the hatch opened, a powerful suction force pulled Lin Feng out. He floated stiffly in outer space.
The freezing cold and suffocating feeling Lin Feng had imagined did not come. He drifted for a while without feeling any discomfort.
Hmm... It was not as unbearable as he had imagined.
Only then did Lin Feng relax. He adjusted his body's direction toward where the sunlight was coming from.
Far ahead was a massive yellow star radiating dazzling light.
The sun!
At last, he came face-to-face with this scorching yellow dwarf star in the universe!
Sunlight shone down on Lin Feng, and the blinding yellow glare made him close his eyes.
An indescribable sense of comfort spread through his entire body. Every cell within him seemed like a fish finding water, cheering with joy.
Comfort unlike anything he had ever felt before!
Lin Feng spread his arms and savored it, quietly drifting through outer space.
But while he was enjoying himself, Tony, who witnessed the scene from Earth, was scared out of his wits!
"Motherfucker?!"
Seeing Lin Feng open the return capsule and float out, the shocked Tony even blurted out Black Egg's favorite catchphrase.
He quickly pulled an electronic screen from his pocket and pressed it.
"JARVIS!" Tony called out directly.
"Why did Lin Feng leave the capsule?! Did the return capsule malfunction? Or has he lost the will to live?"
Three questions in a row right off the bat. Good lord, had Lin Feng gone into outer space just to choose a more unusual way to die?
If that were really the case, tomorrow's headlines would definitely be about him again.
Breaking news: Tony Stark gives his friend an unconventional method of self-destruction?
Tony's heart was filled with enormous question marks and worry.
It was not until the next second, when JARVIS sent back the information, that Tony relaxed slightly.
"It is quite incredible, sir. I have never seen a being like Mr. Lin Feng before."
"None of the things you were worried about happened. Mr. Lin Feng opened the hatch and walked out on his own."
"And my readings show that Mr. Lin Feng's physical condition is currently completely normal, aside from a slightly elevated heart rate."
As JARVIS spoke, the electronic screen in Tony's hand lit up with Lin Feng's current physical data.
The data showed that while Lin Feng's heart rate was slightly fast, it was still within the normal range!
Only then did Tony finally relax, and his anxious emotions gradually calmed down.
"Man, I'm really going to be shocked out of my mind..." Tony muttered to himself.
"This is simply unbelievable..."
"JARVIS, tell me."
"Lin Feng... he couldn't be an alien, could he..." Tony's voice had become somewhat hoarse.
Regardless of what Tony thought, Lin Feng, floating in space, slowly fell asleep amid another system notification.
Evolution had begun...
