A Portal flickering with faint light suddenly appeared.

When the light faded, Lin Feng slowly appeared in midair.

At this time of year, night fell early.

Lin Feng took out his phone.

When he went to DC for the mission, he had stored his phone in the system space.

He had forgotten to see whether a Marvel phone could work in DC...

He checked the time. It was only seven in the evening.

The lights in Lin Feng's villa were on. Susan was clearly home.

Ever since they got together, Lin Feng had made Susan give up the house she had been renting.

He had asked Susan to move in with him.

Officially, it was so they would not waste money.

As for what he secretly had in mind, those who knew, knew...

Lin Feng flew down and opened the front door.

The living room lights were on, but there was no one there.

Instead, sounds came from the kitchen.

Lin Feng chuckled and quietly crept over.

However, halfway there, he stopped, and the smile froze on his face.

An unfamiliar black-haired woman stood with her back to him, cooking.

She was clearly not Susan. They were not even the same height.

"Susan! Dinner's ready!"

"You know me?!" Skye cried out, her gaze flickering.

That was right. The black-haired woman was Quake from Marvel, Skye.

At this point, Skye should not have joined S.H.I.E.L.D. yet.

Lin Feng remembered that Skye only joined S.H.I.E.L.D. after the Timeline of the first Avengers movie.

The current Skye should still have been a thorn in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s side everywhere she went.

And a thorn with exceptional hacking skills at that.

But none of that mattered.

Why was Skye in his house?

Lin Feng narrowed his eyes and asked directly, "Why are you in my house?"

Skye slowly set the plate in her hands on the dining table.

Her mind raced as she spun a lie.

At the same time, she could not help feeling curious.

She and Lin Feng had almost no connection whatsoever.

Why did Lin Feng know her name?

Lin Feng watched her calmly, waiting for an explanation.

Fortunately, Lin Feng knew she had not joined S.H.I.E.L.D. yet.

Otherwise, he would have suspected Black Egg was up to something again.

Before Skye could speak, footsteps came from upstairs.

Susan came down the stairs.

"Lin!"

Susan let out a cry when she unexpectedly saw Lin Feng back and threw herself into his arms.

"You're back!"

Susan had leaped into his arms, but Lin Feng was not happy.

He keenly noticed that her voice was filled with traces of grievance.

His heart skipped a beat, and Lin Feng immediately frowned.

What was going on? Had someone bullied her?

Lin Feng gently pushed Susan out of his arms.

Before she could finish, Susan hugged Lin Feng again.

She buried her head in Lin Feng's chest.

And began crying uncontrollably.

When had Lin Feng ever seen a scene like this?

He immediately panicked.

Both hands hung in the air, not knowing what to do.

Her crying even snuffed out all of Lin Feng's anger.

Good grief.

Just how much grievance had this girl suffered?

Lin Feng felt like his shirt was soaked through with tears.

He turned his head, looking around for tissues.

But Susan held him so tightly that he could not move...

"Here! Take this."

A woman's voice sounded as a box of tissues was handed over.

It was Skye, whom Lin Feng had temporarily ignored after seeing Susan's distress.

Lin Feng had focused entirely on the aggrieved Susan.

He had forgotten about Skye, who had inexplicably appeared in his house.

Lin Feng glanced at Skye, accepted the tissues, and thanked her.

Then he pulled out two tissues and began wiping Susan's face.

She sat across from them and said, "I'll explain what happened..."

Lin Feng did not stop wiping Susan's face. He only glanced at Skye and nodded.

"Susan was fired by the TV station because of a rumor."

"That day, a luxury car from Stark Industries came to pick Susan up from work."

"Someone took photos, and the rumor spread."

"They said Susan had hooked up with Tony Stark..."

Skye briefly explained the sequence of events.

At that point, Lin Feng's hand paused.

"I was the one who picked Susan up. I'm also a shareholder of Stark Industries, so how could they think that?"

Then Lin Feng gently said to Susan, "Baby, didn't you explain it to them?"

"I... I did..."

Susan explained between sobs.

"But they said you were the driver!!"

"They... they didn't believe my explanation..."

"They even said... said Superman and I had an improper relationship!"

"They said... said I could always get photos of Superman..."

"Because... because I... I climbed into Superman's bed!"

"Waaah!"

After saying that, Susan began crying again, even harder than before!

She was far too aggrieved.

She had worked so hard and made such a huge contribution to the radio station's headline story.

Yet none of her colleagues believed her.
