The Northern Sea.
The thirty-fourth Three Lives Post Station.
The Cold Tide Waters were bitterly cold all year round, but now two utterly different auras churned the sea into surging waves.
On one side, demonic energy soared into the sky. Hundreds of demon soldiers stood on dark clouds above the sea. Their leader wore crimson feather armor and held a Flame Spear, fire blazing around him. His scorching demonic power even boiled the nearby seawater into great clouds of white mist.
On the other side stood several dozen Witch Clan warriors.
They were fewer in number, and their injuries were much worse. Several had wounds so deep that bone showed through, their vitality depleted. They had clearly endured a fierce battle.
What truly kept the two sides from resuming their fight, however, was a black stone post station standing between them.
The thirty-fourth Three Lives Post Station!
Several dozen wounded members of the Demon Clan and Witch Clan had already entered the station.
Among them were even a few younglings who had yet to grow up.
Outside the station, a stone stele carved with Guixu patterns stood silently.
The demon soldiers had not stepped inside.
The Witch Clan warriors had likewise stopped outside.
But the conflict that had suddenly erupted moments ago had already lent the once-quiet Three Lives Post Station an air of deadly tension.
A cultivator guarding the station sat cross-legged beside the stone steps, half a crimson spear ray embedded in his shoulder. Blood had soaked through his robes.
Several Guixu cultivators beside him were working to stabilize his injuries.
General Chiling stood before the demon army, his gaze fixed on the wounded Witch Clan members deep inside the station, his expression grim.
He had already caught up with this remnant Witch Clan force.
