"Yes, the Great Universe was theoretically infinite, because it was expanding madly at every moment.
This expansion was limitless.
And the Time of Origin represented the root land where the Primordial Ones gathered and dwelled. Only by finding traces of the Time of Origin, comprehending it, and entering it could one achieve Origin and stand above all matter in the Great Universe."
The strange statue answered stiffly and mechanically.
"How did you know all this?"
Lin Xin's expression grew slightly serious.
"My former master was a Primordial One," the statue replied earnestly.
"A Primordial One..." Lin Xin had heard that name before in the Black Universe.
But at the time, he had only seen it recorded in many myths among the ruins in the outer regions of the Nether Prefecture.
"What exactly was Origin?"
Without realizing it, he slowly grew serious.
"The Primordial Ones were recorded in ancient myths. They were mighty existences capable of controlling history, gods who could manipulate time."
The statue answered honestly.
"Manipulating time..." Lin Xin's heart tightened. He himself could manipulate time for short periods, so he knew full well just how difficult that was.
This was not a realm that could be reached merely by distorting spacetime through gravity and mass.
It was true manipulation of time.
"What happened afterward? Why did your master leave you here?"
He continued asking.
"Because he fell," the statue answered.
"Fell!? An existence as powerful as a Primordial One could actually fall?!" Lin Xin was shaken to the core.
"My master's fate line was interfered with. He could not change the altered destiny, and so he fell in that divine war."
The statue answered truthfully.
Lin Xin fiercely digested the information he had received.
Primordial Ones, fate lines, the Time of Origin...
His intuition had indeed been right.
