The Sudden Turn, Part Two

Zhuang Tianci chuckled, and another black-clad man wearing a bamboo hat walked in behind him.

"Senior Brother Zhuang."

Zhuang Tianci nodded in acknowledgment. "Did you find any clues? Where's that Lin Zhiwen?"

The black-clad man swept his gaze around and immediately spotted the Lin Zhiwen brothers hiding nearby, pointing at them.

"Over there. Also, when I came here that night, the eldest young master here and a girl drove me back. Later, I hope Senior Brother can deal with those two for me."

This man was none other than the Inner Family expert who had attacked the Lin Family that night.

"No problem." Zhuang Tianci agreed casually. Looking at Lin Zhiwen, he strode directly toward him.

Just then, a woman's cool voice rang out from above the courtyard.

"Green Vine Esoteric Sect? Since when did people from Green Vine get to run wild on the territory of our Four Sect Alliance?"

At the sound of that voice, Lin Zhiwen's face turned even paler. He simply could not understand why these immortal masters had come so quickly.

Zhuang Tianci's expression changed slightly.

"May I ask which fairy of the Four Sects has arrived? Please show yourself."

He stopped and cupped his hands in salute, while a faint pale-green current of air swirled around him.

Outside the right-side wall of the Lin Family compound.

Guards and soldiers occasionally ran past outside the gray-white wall. These soldiers had even thrown away their weapons, each of them panic-stricken as though they had been badly frightened.

There were also bold, thrill-seeking spectators who were not afraid of death, hurrying in the direction from which the soldiers were fleeing. Faintly, voices could be heard talking about immortal masters, the death of the city guard general, the Lin Family being finished, and such things.
