After killing several Noodle People, Lin Xin wandered around the area for a while longer but found no trace of anyone else.
Most of the town had sunk into a sea of flames. Outside, several enormous Yellow-Haired Beasts resembling deer stood nearby, each with something like a saddle on its back. They seemed to be the mounts of the town's Noodle People.
Lin Xin stepped forward and searched the packs on the mounts. Inside were some dry cakes resembling rations, along with water skins. There was nothing else.
He walked some distance out of town. Beyond lay a desolate black prairie beneath a dim, gray sky. The grassland was pitch-black, and nothing could be seen.
Having found nothing at all, he finally gripped the Demon Talisman Seed and poured Inner Qi into it.

The Black Carriage appeared behind him in an instant, and its door opened.
Lin Xin turned and entered, taking a seat inside. The door closed, and all around him fell into darkness once more.
After closing his eyes and regulating his breath for a moment, the carriage door opened again. Outside was the courtyard of his mountain estate.
He slowly stepped down from the carriage, which vanished behind him.
"This time, I only got one Demon Talisman Seed, but I figured out how to raise my cultivation." He entered his bedroom and took out all the Demon Talisman Seeds he had obtained before. There were four in total. Then he quietly sat on the bed and waited to wake up.
"The time I spend there doesn't seem to be under my control." Lin Xin had a vague guess in his heart. "At the beginning, when I had just entered that place, I woke up shortly afterward. But now, the more Demon Talisman Seeds I obtain, the
