After learning that Chen Yan had massacred Ice Spring Street and seeing Chu Muyun secretly investigate a suspected Fusionist, Chen Ling returned to the street to continue the search.

• Chen Ling returned home during the lockdown, where Chen Tan killed him, but Chen Ling revived and transformed into the Red-Paper Monster when his parents and the Enforcers attacked.
• Chen Ling fought Han Meng, escaped the Theater with Chen Yan’s help, and returned to find their parents broken and unable to reliably reveal his identity.

Chen Ling uncovered the truth of Chen Yan’s death, avenged him, and forged a God Path with his brother’s help. After learning the Dusk Society’s goal and joining it, Chen Ling began his Enforcer career while facing a dangerous mission and uncertainty about how to advance his path.

• Chu Muyun identified Chen Ling’s World-Ending Calamity, while Chen Ling violently questioned the Ice Spring Street survivors and returned to Frost Street with no witnesses found.
• Chen Ling learned through memories in Mass Grave that Chen Yan had been drugged and killed for his organs, and he remembered that he had attacked Ice Spring Street under the Audience’s control.
• Chen Ling confronted Bone Knife at a celebration, killed him, and massacred residents until Qian Fan trapped him in a bone cage with a Ritual Artifact.
• The War God Path, Witch God Path, and Theater God Path tried to bless Chen Ling, but the Audience drove them away, prompting Chen Ling to beg Qian Fan to kill him.
• Chen Yan used thirty-six saved fragments to reconnect the Theater God Path for Chen Ling, who forged his own path, killed Qian Fan and two Enforcers, and collapsed.
• Chen Ling learned that Chu Muyun worked for the Dusk Society and discovered through the USB drive that he had traveled 379 years into the future after the Great Cataclysm.
