"Garp came looking for me every other day to use me as a punching bag, and Roger always liked using me to test his blade whenever we met. Fine, whatever, but the worst were Newgate, Linlin, and Shiki—they all ganged up on me too.

"I only stole a little territory from them. Did they really have to keep chasing me down and trying to chop me up? They had no regard at all for our old friendship.

"And John and those other assholes? They were even trying to kill me!"

The more Kaido spoke, the angrier he became. He admitted that when he had first acquired the Azure Dragon Fruit, he had been a little arrogant and liked provoking people everywhere, but that was no reason for them to keep beating him up!
