Bruno had no idea how much time had passed when he slowly came to. He found himself in a completely unfamiliar place, seemingly aboard some ship rather than in that alley. Just as he rubbed his head and tried to recall what had happened earlier,

he heard a muffled whimpering sound.

Across from him, a man sat in a chair with a large blanket draped over him. Something beneath the blanket was constantly wriggling, and half of a figure kneeling on the floor was visible below it.

From that partial figure alone, he recognized the kneeling person as Kalifa, while the man was the one who had knocked him unconscious earlier.

"Th-this..."

The sight left him so stunned that his head spun.

Just as he wondered whether he was dreaming, two faint voices came from beside him.

"You're finally awake!"

He looked to either side and saw his other two companions, Rob Lucci and Kaku, slumped on the floor and watching him with calm expressions.

"Wh-what the hell is going on?!"
