With one punch, Newgate shattered the Floating Islands Shiki had sent crashing down. He left the remaining rubble to his sons, raised his head, and returned Shiki's greeting with equal "warmth."

"Newgate, I was just saying hello. Why are you so worked up? Was I not friendly enough?"
Shiki wore a beaming smile, as if he really had done nothing more than greet an old friend.
Watching him, Oak decided he wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he heard one day that someone had beaten Shiki to death for being obnoxious.
Shiki really was an exceptional pain in the ass!
"You fucking bastard! Come down here if you've got the guts!"
Newgate was still roaring from below.
Shiki drifted down at an unhurried pace, showing no sign of nerves. If Oak hadn't seen Shiki's hands settle on the two Famous Swords he'd taken from his legs, he might have believed Shiki wasn't afraid Newgate would cut him down!
Oak had been about to descend himself, but now he stepped back. He would wait and see how things played out.
It was the perfect chance to test how much of Newgate's strength remained!
