Hearing Kaido's pathetic cries for help, Oak slapped a hand to his forehead in pure resignation. Still, since Kaido was his younger brother after all, he had to save him. Seeing that Kaido had pretty much taken enough of a beating, he flew down.

Though Kaido had been howling miserably, he actually hadn't taken all that much damage—mostly just superficial cuts and bruises. Newgate and Shiki had specifically targeted his face, and combined with the fact that he rushed in blindly at first without knowing the situation, assuming Newgate and Shiki were still the same old Newgate and Shiki, he had suffered a huge loss and ended up suppressed by the two of them teaming up.
Yet his defense, thick as a city wall, wasn't that easy to break through anyway.

After charging into the fray, Oak used both hands left and right to effortlessly bat aside Newgate's and Shiki's weapons, then delivered a swift kick straight to Kaido's backside.

Having rescued little brother Kaido, Oak looked at Newgate and Shiki with a half-smile, especially when he saw the wretched states of their faces, which made the corners of his mouth curve upward in an exaggerated arch.

Newgate and Shiki both let out cold snorts, reaching up to cover faces that looked little better than a pighead, and then turned around to leave without another word.
