The research institute's main building had a modern, minimalist design. Its extensive glass curtain walls let in ample light, yet outsiders could not see what was happening inside.

"Eevee~" Perched on Xinhai's shoulder, Eevee looked around curiously. She was wary of this place filled with an air of the unknown, yet unable to conceal her curiosity.

"Kirlia~" Kirlia floated quietly beside Xinhai, her red eyes calmly observing their surroundings.

"Xinhai, your partners have been raised wonderfully!" Wally sincerely praised Eevee's vigor and Kirlia's unique bearing, his eyes filled with a researcher's particular appreciation. "Especially this Kirlia. Her Psychic fluctuations are remarkably pure and stable."

"Thank you for the compliment." Xinhai smiled as he gently stroked Eevee's fur. Kirlia also gave a slight nod.

"Let's head to the reception room first. Professor Birch's observations should be wrapping up soon." Wally turned to lead the way. "You can leave your luggage there, or would you like me to take it to the temporary dormitory prepared for you?"

"Sorry for the trouble, but please take me to the dormitory. I'd like to put my luggage away first and let my partners get familiar with the surroundings," Xinhai said.

"Of course. Please follow me." Wally nodded and led Xinhai around the main building toward a relatively quiet residential building nearby.

The dormitory room was not large, but it was clean, tidy, and fully furnished. It had a private bathroom and a small balcony overlooking the lush Ecological Park behind the research institute.

Xinhai set down his Spatial Backpack, carrying only his partners' Poké Balls with him.

"Then, Xinhai, shall we go see the professor now?" Wally asked.

"Sure. Sorry for the trouble." Xinhai nodded, then followed Wally toward the rear of the research institute with Eevee and Kirlia.
