Two Snaps

Yake was caught off guard and blown away. A few hairs were singed off his legs, which probably counted as an injury.

Thanos shook the dust from his body and fixed his gaze on the Infinity Gauntlet Captain Marvel had dropped. He charged toward it.

The Infinity Gauntlet was almost within Thanos's reach when his body suddenly flew backward against his will.

Yake rolled his shoulder and smiled. "You really want it? Sorry to disappoint you."

Yake bent to pick up the battered Infinity Gauntlet. It appeared to hold six Infinity Stones, but the Soul Stone was a fake. Even if Thanos got the gauntlet, he couldn't threaten Yake with it.

The next instant, a clump of earth swept the Infinity Gauntlet away. Yake looked up and spotted Ebony Maw, the sorcerer who could move things with his mind.

The Avengers were no longer focused on fighting Thanos's army. They had to get the Infinity Gauntlet before he did. Whoever held it could end the battle.

"Get out of my way! He's mine!"

Yake was about to have another go at Thanos when Captain Marvel rushed in to steal the fight. He punched her without hesitation. Her head really was hard; Yake shook out his right hand.

After sending Captain Marvel flying, Yake stood before Thanos once more.

"You got away earlier. Now you can't escape your fate," Miao Miao'er said.

Yake raised his right hand toward the sky, and the Thunder Blade appeared in it. He twirled the blade, lightning crackling around it, then pointed it at Thanos.

"I'll beat you to death, or you'll beat me to death!"

"You're insane!"

Thanos spat a mouthful of bloody phlegm onto the ground and charged Yake with a roar.

Yake slashed across him, then flashed behind him and drove the blade
