Background

Zhang Shou was a seventeen-year-old survivor of the Aberrant Insect Incident and Yu Xian’s close classmate. While searching wreckage with Chen Ling and others after the disaster, he tried to help injured classmates survive; the experience shaped his original wish to become a doctor rather than a Sword Immortal. 19

He discovered a red Forbidden Fruit in his bathroom toilet, rinsed it, swallowed it, and wished for a system. The fruit granted the Super Nanny System, giving him powerful healing abilities but imposing an initially misunderstood, life-consuming cost. 17 18

Medical examinations determined that a destructive energy in his body accelerated telomere aging hundreds of times beyond normal, leaving him an estimated week to live. Unable to accept a meaningless death, he opened a free clinic outside a vegetable market and treated hundreds of patients, aging from a teenager into a frail old man over the day. 18 19
