Goku raced along the mountain road, dragging the giant fish behind him, but his mind was occupied with another "beautiful scene"—if he could travel back, then with this body's strength and speed, he could not only easily become the school sports meet champion, but perhaps even win the school beauty's heart! The thought alone made him daydream, and the corners of his mouth rose unconsciously.
Just as he was immersed in his sweet dream, there was suddenly a bang. Goku felt himself slam into something hard and was sent flying, taking the giant fish with him!
"Ah, ow, ow..." Goku rubbed his aching head and looked up to see a fallen motorcycle and, beside it, a girl lying on the ground with an unhappy expression.
Goku could not help but stare blankly, because the girl before him was simply too beautiful! Her blue hair, delicate features, and captivating large eyes made it impossible to look away. His heart skipped a beat. Isn't this Bulma? She was ten times prettier in person than the school beauty at my old school!
Suppressing his excitement, he pretended not to know her. He got up, carefully dusted off his clothes, and said, "Uh... sorry. I was running a little too fast and didn't see you."
Bulma frowned and folded her arms, saying with some displeasure, "Running that fast, were you trying to get yourself sent flying?" She looked at the fish on the ground, then glanced at Goku, seeming to size him up.
Goku scratched his head and smiled shyly. "I just caught a big fish and was thinking of getting home right away... Uh, hello. My name is Goku." He held out his hand, cautiously introducing himself.
Bulma smiled faintly, apparently finding him somewhat interesting. She also extended her hand and shook his politely. "My name is Bulma. I came from a very faraway place. Goku... you were really fast just now. It was practically like you were powered by some kind of monstrous strength."
Goku secretly chuckled, but kept up his bashful act. "Hehe, maybe I was just born strong."
Bulma smiled mysteriously with pursed lips, then lowered her head slightly and said, "I came here to look for something. Have you ever heard of Dragon Balls?"
Goku's heart jolted. Just as I thought! The story from the book really has begun. Yet he answered in surprise, "Dragon Balls? What are those? Some kind of precious treasure?"
Seeing that he seemed completely unaware, Bulma eagerly explained, "That's right! Legend says there are seven Dragon Balls in the world. As long as you gather them all, you can summon Shenron and have any wish granted! I'm here to search for Dragon Balls, and this is the Dragon Radar I brought." As she spoke, she took a strange round device from her pocket, its red dots flashing.
Goku put on an astonished expression and said, "They're that amazing? If I gather the Dragon Balls, can I have a wish granted too?"
Bulma shrugged and smiled. "Of course, but gathering the Dragon Balls won't be easy!" She studied Goku carefully, seemingly thinking something over, before saying, "You've got plenty of strength. Want to search for Dragon Balls together? You might be able to help me."
Goku was secretly delighted. This was the opportunity he had dreamed of! But outwardly, he put on a doubtful expression and said, "Do you really need me? I'm not sure whether I'd be of any use..."
Bulma smiled slightly and said confidently, "Of course! It's always good to have someone helping, especially since you're so strong!"
Goku nodded. "All right, then I'll search with you!"
His heart suddenly burst with joy. Hehe, setting off with Bulma on a journey to find the Dragon Balls is even more wonderful than winning over the school beauty!
Goku had long known that there was a Four-Star Dragon Ball in his little wooden cabin. Looking at the direction displayed on Bulma's Dragon Radar, he secretly laughed. This girl actually tracked the Dragon Balls all the way to my house. If that isn't fate, what is?
Bulma called Goku onto the motorcycle. He carried the giant fish in one hand and carefully wrapped his other arm around Bulma's waist. I actually get to hold such a beautiful girl!
Bulma did not notice Goku's little thoughts. She started the motorcycle, and the two sped along the mountain road. The wind howled past their ears, and Goku was overjoyed the entire way, muttering with a grin, "This feels so good!"
Not long after, they arrived in front of Goku's little wooden cabin. Goku pretended to look surprised and said, "Huh? Bulma, isn't your radar wrong? This is my house!"
Bulma's eyes widened, and she was also somewhat surprised. "Really? Your house? I didn't expect the Dragon Ball to be in your house... What a coincidence!"
Goku nodded, secretly laughing. Sure enough, the plot really can't avoid my house.
Goku opened the cabin door and led Bulma inside. Bulma looked around, holding the Dragon Radar as she slowly tracked its signal. When she reached a wooden table, her eyes lit up. Pointing at a wooden box on the tabletop, she said excitedly, "The signal is coming from this box!"
Goku was secretly pleased, but still put on a thoughtful look as he stroked his chin. "Grandpa left this wooden box here. I really never noticed what was inside."
With anticipation, Bulma gently opened the wooden box. Sure enough, a Four-Star Dragon Ball lay quietly inside, shimmering with a soft glow. Bulma excitedly picked it up and said to Goku, "Great! I finally found it!"
Goku chimed in with a "surprised" expression. "Wow! So this is the Dragon Ball you were looking for."
Holding the Dragon Ball, Bulma's eyes were filled with delight as she said to Goku, "Goku, it looks like we really are fated! Are you willing to search for the remaining Dragon Balls with me? With your help, we'll definitely find them faster!"
Goku scratched his head. "I see... Well, hearing you say that, I kind of like the idea too. All right, I'll join you!"
Bulma smiled until her eyes curved into crescents, carefully putting away the Dragon Ball. "Wonderful! With a 'strongman' like you helping me, my Dragon Ball journey has much more hope!"
Goku and Bulma had just stepped out of the little wooden cabin when Goku's stomach suddenly growled. He patted his belly and said with a cheerful grin, "Catching such a big fish really wasn't a waste of effort. I can grill it and eat it now!"
Bulma looked at his exaggerated appetite and smiled in surprise. "Looks like you're really quite the foodie. So how are you planning to make it? Do you need seasonings?"
"Of course!" Goku scratched his head. "But there's nothing in these mountains. Do you have any seasonings?"
Bulma proudly raised her hand, took a Capsule Corp capsule from her waist pouch, and pressed the button on top. With a bang, a whole set of seasoning bottles appeared on the ground. Goku's eyes widened, and he could not help exclaiming, "That thing of yours is really amazing!"
Goku built a fire and set the fish over it to grill. As the flames danced, the fish's surface gradually took on a golden, oily sheen. He sprinkled seasonings over the grilled fish, and before long, the tempting aroma of grilled fish filled the air.
Bulma could not help sniffing the air and praised him, "Wow, Goku, you're actually pretty good at grilling fish!"
Goku chuckled, turned the fish over, and once it was fully cooked, carefully tore off a piece of fish and handed it to Bulma. "Here, try my cooking!"
Bulma took a small bite. The fish was crisp and fragrant, with just the right amount of seasoning. She nodded in satisfaction. "It tastes good, even better than I imagined!"
Bulma stopped after only a few bites and clapped her hands. "I'm full already. Go ahead and keep eating."
Goku did not stand on ceremony. He placed the rest of the grilled fish before himself and devoured the whole thing. Bulma stared at him in astonishment, narrowing her eyes. "Goku, is your stomach bottomless?"
Goku smiled and wiped his mouth. "Hehe, you need to eat your fill to have the strength to keep adventuring!"
Bulma shook her head and could not help laughing. "With that appetite, you're practically the foodie of all foodies!"
