Bulma led Goku into her spacious, high-tech workshop.
It was filled with all kinds of advanced equipment. Complex data glowed across the instrument panels, several large machines hummed away in the corners, and the entire space was neatly arranged.
As Bulma worked at the console, she turned and asked, "Goku, are you planning to keep collecting Dragon Balls?"
Goku looked at Bulma in surprise. After thinking it over, he guessed that she was probably in a bad mood and wanted to find an excuse to get out and clear her head.
So he smiled and said, "Sure, Bulma! Let's go together!"
Bulma looked at Goku with satisfaction, took out the Dragon Radar, and was surprised to find that he was already carrying two Dragon Balls.
She said excitedly, "Let's set off right now!"
When they reached Bulma's front door, she stopped and looked at Goku. "If I shrink down, I can sit in your arms easily. That'll make it more convenient for you to ride the Somersault Cloud!"
Goku nodded and watched Bulma press the button on her bracelet. In an instant, she shrank to the size of a chick and jumped into Goku's palm. Goku carefully placed her in his arms and said with a smile, "Hold on tight, Bulma. Let's go!"
Goku had his 2x Gravity Bracelets activated, and every cell in his body was enduring greater pressure than usual. He quietly marveled that the Gravity Bracelets provided more comprehensive training than carrying the Turtle Shell, truly improving him at the cellular level. Bulma's inventions were always so amazing.
During the flight, Bulma nestled in Goku's arms, poked her head out to look around, and complained, "Goku, this Somersault Cloud is way too slow! If I'd known, I would've flown my plane here!"
Hearing Bulma's complaint, Goku chuckled and mischievously sped up the Somersault Cloud. The wind howled past them in an instant, catching Bulma completely off guard. Then Goku deliberately made the Somersault Cloud trace several rapid loops through the air, swooping up and down, left and right. Bulma screamed again and again, "Aah! Goku! Slow down!"
Seeing Bulma like that, Goku could not help bursting into laughter. Teasing her like this was just too fun. Only when Bulma shouted her protest did he slow the Somersault Cloud down. "All right, all right, Bulma. You're really timid, huh?"
With puffed cheeks, Bulma smacked Goku's chest. "Hmph! Scare me again, and I'll shrink you too. Let's see if you can still laugh then!"
Goku immediately smiled apologetically. "It was just a joke, don't be mad! We're almost at the next Dragon Ball!"
Goku flew with Bulma above the uninhabited island where the Dragon Ball was located. Looking down, they saw no one on the island, only sea winds rustling the coconut trees. Bulma took out the Dragon Radar and confirmed that the Dragon Ball was deep beneath the sea.
She prepared to take the Submarine Capsule from her backpack and said to Goku, "Once I take out the submarine, we can go down and look for the Dragon Ball." But then she froze, realizing that she had brought the wrong capsule case!
"What... what's going on?" Bulma looked at the case in confusion, then suddenly realized it was her father's capsule case. Curious, she opened it and saw that there was only one capsule inside. When she pressed the button, the capsule popped and turned into a pile of things—thick, sexy magazines.
Bulma's expression changed, and she nearly jumped in anger. "What the heck! Dad actually keeps this kind of stuff in capsules. He really is a dirty old man!"
Seeing her face turn red with anger, Goku could not help asking, "Bulma, what's wrong? What are those things?"
Embarrassed, Bulma turned her head away with a huff. "You wouldn't understand, Goku. They're just some... boring books!"
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She had always thought her father and mother loved each other very much, but now she found that even her father was so lecherous. She stamped her feet furiously. "Dad has really disappointed me! Researching high technology every day isn't enough for him—he's even interested in this kind of thing!"
Suddenly, a rumbling roar came from the sky. They looked up and saw two Red Ribbon Army planes flying toward them, their insignias clearly visible on the fuselages.
"Oh no! Red Ribbon Army soldiers!" Bulma cried, taking a sharp step back.
The pilots quickly spotted them and immediately opened fire. Goku reacted swiftly, flipping around to shield Bulma behind him as he shouted, "Bulma, find somewhere to hide!"
With that, he leaped forcefully into the air and rapidly closed in on one of the planes. Before the pilot could react, Goku had already rushed up and slammed his fist into the cockpit. With a tremendous boom, the plane lost balance, spun through the air, then plunged into the sea trailing black smoke.
Seeing this, the pilot of the other plane panicked and increased his firepower, spraying bullets at Goku. But Goku nimbly darted and dodged through the air, fast and agile. Seizing an opening, Goku shot up onto the second plane's roof and smashed down with both fists. The plane instantly crumpled and lost power, then fell into the sea amid the soldiers' screams.
Goku landed lightly on the ground, dusted off his hands, and turned back to Bulma with an easy expression. "Bulma, all taken care of! They're really annoying."
Bulma let out a long breath, relaxing slightly, though she still said nervously, "It looks like the Red Ribbon Army is after the Dragon Balls too. We need to be careful!"
Goku nodded. "Don't worry. As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you."
Goku looked at Bulma. "Bulma, how about we go to Master Roshi's place? His island isn't far from here, and Master Roshi must have a Submarine Capsule!"
Bulma frowned at his words, remembering that dirty old man who always stared at her chest. She immediately felt helpless. "Seriously, we have to go to that old guy's place... But for the Dragon Ball, I'll put up with it!"
So Goku took Bulma onto the Somersault Cloud and flew toward Master Roshi's island.
When Goku arrived at Master Roshi's island with Bulma on the Somersault Cloud, Bulma was still shrunken down and hiding in Goku's arms. On the island, Master Roshi was leisurely dozing in a chair, with a huge stack of his beloved magazines beside him. He opened his eyes, saw Goku walking toward him, and greeted him with a broad smile.
"Goku! What brings you here, kid?" Master Roshi rubbed his eyes, his face wrinkling with laughter.
Just then, Bulma suddenly jumped out of Goku's arms, pressed the button on her bracelet, and instantly returned to her normal size in front of Master Roshi. Her sudden appearance made Master Roshi's eyes widen. He sprang up from his chair and cried out, "Whoa! Bulma? H-how did you pop out of Goku's arms?"
Bulma put her hands on her hips and grinned smugly. "Well, Master Roshi? Surprised? This is my new invention, the Shrinking Bracelet. Now I can shrink or grow whenever I want!" She proudly showed off the bracelet.
Master Roshi gave an awkward dry laugh, but his eyes could not stop staring at Bulma's bracelet. He muttered, "That invention is really incredible. I never would've imagined it..." Then he asked tentatively, "Bulma, how about letting me play with it too?"
Bulma rolled her eyes, too lazy to entertain Master Roshi's little schemes. "Don't even think about it. I came here to borrow a Submarine Capsule!"
Goku took over with a cheerful smile. "Old man, we're going to search for Dragon Balls on the seafloor. You have a Submarine Capsule, right?"
Master Roshi said helplessly, "Ah, sorry, Goku and Bulma, but Krillin took the Submarine Capsule out with him! He and Launch went grocery shopping, and they probably won't be back for a while."
Bulma frowned at this, feeling a little impatient inside, but there was nothing she could do. Goku, on the other hand, looked unconcerned and said to Bulma with a smile, "It's fine. We can just wait."
At that moment, Master Roshi sidled up to Bulma and asked with a beaming smile, "Bulma, how about lending me that shrinking bracelet to play with?"
Bulma immediately saw through his intentions and said coldly, "You think I don't know what you're thinking? I'm not lending it to you so you can fool around!"
Master Roshi scratched his head and laughed awkwardly. "Oh, you're one sharp girl! I just wanted to have a look, that's all. Nothing else, really!"
Bulma rolled her eyes and sneered. "I don't believe you! I know exactly what you're thinking!" Without hesitation, she put the bracelet away, not giving Master Roshi even the slightest chance.
Seeing his hopes dashed, Master Roshi could only sigh helplessly. Yet his gaze still could not help drifting toward Bulma's bracelet as he muttered to himself, Sigh, if I could get that bracelet, I could go into bathrooms and bathhouses... Ahem, ahem, and study girls' daily lives!
