Wishing Again

Goku jumped onto Pilaf's car roof and kicked through the sunroof. The vehicle shook, then suddenly rolled over, finally landing upside down on the ground. The Pilaf Trio crawled out of the wreckage in disarray. Pilaf rubbed his head, and his expression turned complicated when he saw Son Goku standing before him.

Pilaf was filled with confusion. He had clearly hidden the Dragon Balls in a box that radar could not detect, so how had Son Goku still found them? He could not figure it out no matter how hard he thought, but this was not the time to dwell on it.

"Son Goku, you actually found this place!" Pilaf widened his eyes, secretly thankful that he had made thorough preparations. "But you're no longer a match for me!"

Just as Goku opened his mouth to demand the Dragon Balls, the Pilaf Trio simultaneously took out capsules. Huge robots sprang out from them and landed on the ground together. Pilaf stood proudly beside his robot. "This is my latest invention—the super combat robot, the Pilaf Machine God!"

The three robots looked lifelike, their cold metallic surfaces gleaming ominously. The Pilaf Trio jumped into their respective robots, all wearing arrogant smiles as they prepared to defeat Son Goku in one stroke.

Goku stood nearby, quietly watching them. He spoke unhurriedly, "Your robots sure look impressive, but I don't plan to waste time here." He pointed at the Pilaf Trio. "Now, hand over the Dragon Balls!"

Pilaf saw that Son Goku did not seem frightened in the slightest and even looked somewhat disdainful. Though annoyed, he suppressed his anger and said, "Looks like you want to try out my new toy! Come on, Son Goku—let's see if you can hold out!"

With that, the Pilaf Trio activated their robots. Massive mechanical arms and cannon muzzles launched a fierce assault on Goku.

Goku smiled faintly. He could not wait to end this boring fight. Bending down, he gripped the Power Pole tightly with both hands and said softly, "Your robots aren't fast enough. Let's see if you can keep up with my speed!"

The moment he finished speaking, Goku turned into a bolt of lightning and charged straight at the Pilaf Machine Gods, swift as a phantom and without the slightest pause.

"Too fast!" the Pilaf Trio cried out. They had not even seen Goku move.

Goku rapidly closed in on Pilaf's robot. With a casual swing of the Power Pole, he easily shattered the Pilaf Machine God's protective barrier. Then, with a powerful strike, the robot instantly lost its balance and crashed heavily to the ground.

Pilaf's eyes widened. He had never imagined that Son Goku could destroy their robot so easily.

Goku leaped into the air, and dazzling light shone from the Power Pole in his hand. Smiling, he said, "Your great machine god is way too weak."

"Y-you... just how strong are you?" Pilaf asked in a trembling voice as fear gradually rose within him.

Goku yawned. "These robots of yours are just made of paper. Hurry up and hand over the Dragon Balls."

Pilaf and his underlings did not struggle any further. They knew that Son Goku was simply an opponent they could not resist. Pilaf sighed, took out the Dragon Balls from his clothes, and threw them to Goku.

Goku caught the Dragon Balls and happily placed them in his backpack. "Thanks for your cooperation."

"Hmph!" Pilaf gritted his teeth in fury, but he could only watch helplessly as Son Goku left.

Riding the Somersault Cloud, Goku took the Dragon Balls to a quiet cliffside. The view was wide open, with no sign of people—only the wind blowing across the cliffs and the boundless sky, making the place exceptionally peaceful. He jumped down from the Somersault Cloud, slowly walked to the cliff's edge, and sat down. Then he neatly arranged the seven Dragon Balls before him.

Goku looked up at the distant sky, but his thoughts began to wander. The seven Dragon Balls lay quietly before him, emitting a faint glow as though waiting for his decision. He knew the Dragon Balls could grant any wish, but what wish would be most appropriate?

Different wishes rapidly ran through Goku's mind. He thought of how he lost control whenever he transformed into a Great Ape, and he also considered immortality or the ability to adapt to all kinds of environments.

A new thought emerged—unlocking his potential. In the world of Dragon Balls, there were several ways to draw out one's potential, such as the dangerous Ultra Divine Water, Planet Namek's Grand Elder unlocking one's potential, or Old Supreme Kai's ability. Ultra Divine Water was highly risky, and even the slightest mistake could cost him his life. Planet Namek and the Supreme Kais were both far too distant from Earth, so neither could help him right now.

Goku pondered this. Earth's Shenron might not be omnipotent, but perhaps he could unlock Goku's potential to a high level. After all, this was the protagonist's body—the kind that could go from 90,000 to 150 million in a single day.

Goku took a deep breath and shouted, "Come out, Shenron!"

In an instant, the seven Dragon Balls shone with intense light. Dark clouds rapidly blanketed the sky, turning bright daytime into something like night. Lightning flashed between the clouds, while thunder rumbled from every direction.

Golden light shot into the heavens. From the seven Dragon Balls, an enormous blue-green dragon silhouette spiraled upward, gradually taking shape. The majestic Shenron appeared in the sky. Coiling amid the dark clouds, Shenron slowly lowered his enormous head and fixed his bright eyes on Goku. His deep, imposing voice echoed across heaven and earth. "State your wish. I can grant any one wish."

Goku looked up at the colossal being and thought briefly before shouting, "Shenron! Please unlock my potential!"

A mysterious light flashed in Shenron's eyes, and his deep voice slowly sounded. "Your wish has been granted." The moment he finished speaking, Shenron's enormous body transformed into seven Dragon Balls, which flew off in all directions with trails of golden light before finally disappearing beyond the horizon. The sky brightened once more, and sunlight poured down as though the darkness had never existed.

Goku closed his eyes and carefully sensed the changes within his body. His aura continued to rise, power surging through his meridians and filling every cell. The cliff beneath his feet could not withstand this aura; it trembled violently and rapidly cracked apart, rocks tumbling down one after another.

Goku concentrated his aura beneath his feet, lightly leaped upward, and used the Sky Dance Technique to hover steadily in the air. His body looked light, yet it contained unimaginable power.

He clenched his fist and muttered, "This feeling... it's ridiculously strong!"

Floating in the air, Goku felt the abundant power within him and grew excited. Just how much stronger had he become? He frowned slightly and muttered to himself, "If only I had a Power Level detector right now, then I'd know my Power Level."
