The Banana Leaf Fan Is Missing

Goku rode Somersault Cloud through the sky. Before long, he spotted a little girl on the ground. It was clearly Chichi. Goku descended in front of her, swept his gaze over her, and froze.

Chichi was dressed in an Ultraman-style outfit that looked like underwear. She was petite and cute, about the same height as Goku. Goku was instantly at a loss for words. Are all the girls in the Dragon Ball world this open?

"Who are you?" Chichi asked curiously, sizing Goku up.

"I'm Goku. You're Chichi, right? Ox King told me to find Master Mutai," Goku answered honestly. At the same time, he thought that although Chichi's outfit had caught him off guard, she seemed quite lively.

The moment Chichi heard Goku mention Ox King, a bright smile bloomed across her face. "You know my dad?"

Goku nodded with complete sincerity. "Yeah. He asked me to help borrow the Banana Leaf Fan."

Hearing that, Chichi became even more excited. She turned her gaze toward Somersault Cloud and asked in confusion, "Can people ride that?"

Goku smiled. "Of course. Come on up!"

Chichi stared at Somersault Cloud, her heart brimming with curiosity. But when she tried to climb aboard, her short legs made it difficult for her to get up. Seeing this, Goku immediately held out his hand. "Here, I'll help you."

Chichi grabbed Goku's hand and climbed up with all her strength. In the original story, Chichi had grabbed Goku's tail to get up, but now Goku had hidden his tail inside his pants. I can't expose my weakness so easily, especially with Yamcha still watching from the shadows.

"Hey! I made it!" Chichi finally climbed onto Somersault Cloud and waved her little hands excitedly.

"Ready?" Goku asked with a smile.

"Mm!" Chichi nodded firmly, full of anticipation.

Goku guided Somersault Cloud slowly into the air and flew toward the sea with Chichi.

As Goku flew through the sky, he thought about how to keep some distance from Chichi. If they got too close, this little girl might just offer herself to him in marriage. That would be a real headache. He did his best to keep his distance.

Chichi sat on Somersault Cloud, looking around excitedly and finding everything fascinating. Every now and then, she turned to Goku and asked expectantly, "Goku, Somersault Cloud flies so fast. How long until we get there?"

Goku smiled faintly. "We'll be there soon, Chichi. Just be patient!"

Although he kept telling himself to maintain some distance, Goku could not help being drawn in by Chichi's cuteness. Chichi really is an adorable girl.

Goku flew over the ocean on Somersault Cloud. Looking down at the shimmering water, he wondered where Master Roshi's little island might be. Suddenly, he noticed a dolphin leaping from the waves. An idea struck him, and Goku decided to ask it.

"Hey, Dolphin! Do you know where Master Roshi is?" Goku shouted.

The dolphin turned around and blinked, seemingly understanding Goku's words. It replied in fluent Dolphin language, then swam in a certain direction to guide them. "Come on, I'll take you to Master Roshi!"

Goku followed closely behind the dolphin, hoping they would find Master Roshi soon.

After some time, the dolphin finally stopped in a hidden stretch of sea. The water was a brilliant blue, and in the middle stood a small island. A familiar figure seemed to be standing there. Goku immediately recognized him as Master Roshi!

"Thank you, Dolphin!" Goku said happily, then guided Somersault Cloud toward the island.

Goku and Chichi flew up before Master Roshi. When he saw Goku, surprise flashed through his eyes. "Isn't this the kid who rides Somersault Cloud?" He turned to look at the little girl beside him, frowning slightly. "The girl I saw last time was taller and prettier. Why has she gotten smaller now?"

Goku scratched his head and answered, "She's Ox King's daughter, Chichi."

Master Roshi's mouth fell open in shock. "Chichi? She doesn't look anything like her father!" He pointed at his own head, seemingly wondering why Chichi did not have horns.

Chichi pouted and said unhappily, "Hmph, I don't want to look like that big brute anyway!"

Goku could not help laughing, and the atmosphere immediately relaxed.

Chichi looked at the skinny old man before her, filled with doubt. "Is this really Master Mutai?" Goku nodded. "Yeah."

Chichi wanted to test Master Mutai's reaction, so she threw the throwing knife from atop her head at Master Roshi's back. If he really is Master Mutai, he'll definitely be able to dodge my attack. Without hesitation, she threw the knife.

The knife struck Master Roshi directly on the head with a loud bang. Goku froze for a moment, then burst out laughing, finding the scene incredibly funny. He did not believe Master Roshi had truly failed to react in time. He guessed the old man was merely playing along with a child and had deliberately let himself be hit for laughs.

Chichi, however, looked utterly bewildered. She quickly ran up to Master Roshi and asked worriedly, "Master Mutai, are you okay?"

Goku and Chichi explained to Master Roshi that they wanted to borrow the Banana Leaf Fan to extinguish the fire on Frying Pan Mountain. Master Roshi thought for a moment, then pulled Goku into a corner and whispered, "If that little girl from before is willing to let me see balabala, I'll lend it to you."

Goku immediately felt annoyed. He eyed the lecherous old man and thought, I'm not letting Bulma use her looks to please you. But he did not want to offend Master Roshi directly. So Goku put on an innocent expression and said, "Grandpa, I'm going to tell Chichi."

Master Roshi's face changed in fright. If Chichi finds out, my image will be completely ruined. He hurriedly changed his tune. "Forget it, forget it. I'll just lend it to you!"

Goku relaxed inwardly, feeling that this lecherous old man was easy enough to handle. He turned and told Chichi, "We can borrow the Banana Leaf Fan!" Chichi clapped excitedly. "That's great!"

Master Roshi searched through the house for a long time but could not find the Banana Leaf Fan anywhere. Just as he stood there looking utterly confused, Old Turtle suddenly said, "You threw the Banana Leaf Fan away a long time ago." Master Roshi looked as though he had been struck by lightning and immediately remembered that he really had thrown it out.

Chichi's face fell at once. She said in disappointment, "Then we have no way to put out the fire on Frying Pan Mountain!"

Master Roshi patted his chest. "Looks like I'll have to go there myself!"

Chichi looked deeply skeptical. "Can you do it?"

Master Roshi was full of confidence. "There's nothing Master Roshi can't do!"

Listening to this, Goku thought, Looks like Master Roshi plans to use Dragon Ball's invincible ultimate move—the Kamehameha—to put out the fire. He was instantly filled with anticipation, feeling that the move had to be incredibly powerful. He could not help thinking of the original Goku, who had learned it after seeing it only once. I wonder if I still have that kind of talent.

Goku and Chichi rode Somersault Cloud, the wind howling past their ears as Chichi squealed with excitement.

Master Roshi, meanwhile, rode a small seagull and flew along at a leisurely pace.

"Hurry up, Grandpa!" Chichi shouted from Somersault Cloud.

Master Roshi smiled faintly and teased, "What's the rush, little girl? It wouldn't be good if I fell!"
