Seven days later, Dawn's private training ground.

The setting sun, like a massive ember on the verge of burning out, set the clouds at the horizon ablaze in magnificent crimson and golden-orange hues. Its lingering light spilled generously across the ground, coating everything in warmth.

"Soon enough, I'll make you regret giving me this Devil Fruit."

A cold, arrogant voice shattered the tranquility of dusk. Lucci slowly stepped out from the shadows not far away.

His youthful face was filled with a sternness beyond his years and absolute confidence.

After spending some time familiarizing himself with the Copy-Copy Fruit, he felt that he could already use it in combat to a basic degree, so he had eagerly come to challenge the master of this training ground.

Dawn, standing at the center of the field, slowly turned his head, his gaze utterly calm.

"Save the big talk until after you've won."

Lucci said nothing more. His figure vanished from where he stood, the high-speed movement of Soru stirring a faint rush of wind.

The next second, he appeared in front of Dawn. Both index fingers became countless Afterimages, moving so quickly that it seemed as if dozens of arms had sprouted from him at once. The piercing shriek of Kong being torn apart stabbed at the ears.

"Shigan: Yellow Lotus!"

Faced with this fierce assault, Dawn's body seemed to lose all weight, becoming as soft and light as paper.

He skillfully used Kami-e, one of the Six Powers, swaying through the dense barrage of Shigan Afterimages like grass in the wind. He evaded every attack by mere fractions, then rode the momentum to close in along Lucci's centerline and threw a simple straight punch filled with terrifying force.

Lucci's gaze sharpened. His assault stopped at once, and he nimbly stepped back.
