Background
Robin grew up on Ohara after her mother, Olvia, left home. She lived with relatives who offered little care: her aunt forced her to complete the household chores, while her uncle was largely absent. Local children called her a monster because of her Devil Fruit ability, threw stones at her, and left her injured. She endured the abuse silently and retreated to a secluded coastal shelter whenever she could. 18
Her refuge was also where she found Dawn, apparently unconscious among staged shipwreck debris. Robin approached him despite her caution and checked whether he was alive, allowing Dawn to begin the deception he had arranged specifically to meet her. 18 19
Dawn initially failed to connect with Robin through rehearsed conversation, but mentioning the Clover family and revealing his name, Davy D. Dawn, earned her attention. Robin agreed to protect his identity after he claimed to be pursued. 19
Over the following year, Robin regularly visited Dawn and Stella’s forest cabin. Dawn’s acceptance of her Devil Fruit and their conversations about sailing, distant islands, and Olvia gradually broke through her isolation. 21 22
Dawn and Stella abruptly left Ohara after Saul’s arrival warned them that the island’s destruction was imminent. Robin found only Stella’s farewell note and was left devastated shortly before the Buster Call destroyed Ohara and killed Olvia and the scholars. 22 23
After escaping alone by boat, Robin reunited with Dawn. Though she blamed him for abandoning her, she accepted his invitation to travel with him after he revealed that the World Government also persecuted his family. 23
Appearance
Robin is introduced as a small, quiet girl with dark short hair and sapphire-blue eyes. By the Hardbane Island campaign, she has grown taller and carries herself with greater steadiness; she later wears lenses while studying administrative work. 19 23 25 45
- Often carries large books from the Tree of Knowledge. 18 21
- Her manifested limbs emerge amid petal-like effects. 21 27
- Initially appears physically slight, but becomes increasingly battle-hardened through training and repeated combat. 25 30
Personality
Robin is intelligent, disciplined, and exceptionally resilient. The loneliness and cruelty of her childhood made her guarded and emotionally restrained; she learned to suppress pain and avoid displaying vulnerability because she expected weakness to invite further mistreatment. 18 21
Despite this, Robin remains compassionate. She approaches Dawn when she believes him to be an injured shipwreck survivor, and she promises to conceal his identity once he appeals to her trust. 18 19
Dawn and Stella’s companionship makes Robin noticeably warmer and more expressive. She becomes openly affectionate with Stella, develops a strong desire to improve after nearly dying against Boom, and chooses to study both combat and administration for the group’s future. 24 28 30 45
Her experiences have also hardened her. By the attack on Hardbane Island, she has become accustomed to lethal conflict and acts decisively against hostile forces. 25
