Chapter Summaries

Davy Jones fought Saint Nerona Imu across Mary Geoise, Red Port, and the deep sea, testing Imu’s black-flame Demonic Energy and adapting to each battlefield. After ten days and ten nights of combat beneath the sea, neither fighter had been defeated.

• Imu revealed his true form and attacked Black Maria, but Dawn intercepted him and mocked the World’s ruler before they clashed.
• Imu enlarged himself and split Mary Geoise with Heaven’s Punishment Sword, while Dawn let the attack’s force send him flying toward Red Port and Imu pursued.
• At Red Port, Dawn matched Imu’s giant size and exchanged blows with him, destroying the port and unleashing a massive tsunami.
• Dawn shattered Imu’s cross-shaped sword with a powerful punch, then put on a Deep-Sea Diving Suit and pursued Imu into the ocean.
• Dawn and Imu fought through the deep sea from Paradise to the New World for ten days and ten nights, devastating the seafloor along their route.

Yamato and her allies discovered how to permanently kill the God's Knights by exposing and destroying their Steel Hearts, while Shanks killed Shamrock and Loki froze Princess Zhuli to keep her alive. As Imu remained occupied, the Five Elders decided to retreat and abandon Garling.

• Yamato freed Saint Somaz, and A-Ken shattered him with Conqueror's Haki until his Steel Heart appeared; Aramaki destroyed it, confirming the method could kill him permanently.
• Yamato freed Saint Killingham and destroyed his Steel Heart, while Black Maria pierced it; Yamato then killed the other God's Knights except Gunko, Shamrock, and Sakazuki.
• Shanks used Fire Kagutsuchi to erase Shamrock and the land behind him, killing him without leaving a trace.
• Princess Zhuli asked Brook to kill her so Imu would suffer backlash, but Loki froze her with Iron Thunder to preserve her life until Dawn could save her.

• Sanji warned Bullet that Saint Warcury was preparing to escape, and Bullet killed him by destroying his Steel Heart.
• Zoro defeated Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro with Asura: Purgatory Onigiri, and First Generation Kitetsu remained embedded in the ground.
• Enel repeatedly blasted Itsumade with lightning, Reiju trapped Saint Shepherd Ju Peter in poisonous clouds, and Loki killed Saint Garling by smashing his heart and mark.
• Kaido and Sakazuki agreed to settle their prolonged fight with one move, and Sakazuki launched a massive magma attack from the sky.

Dawn defeated and killed Imu after the deaths of the God's Knights and Five Elders triggered severe backlash, ending the King of the World's eight-hundred-year rule. With a new era beginning, Dawn and his allies still had to resolve the remaining pirate storylines.

• After ten days of fighting, Dawn and Imu traded maximum-mass Haki attacks, but Imu suddenly began coughing black blood from the backlash of the God's Knights' and Five Elders' deaths.
• Imu escaped to Totto Land to seize the Infinite Energy reactor, but Vivi's resemblance to Lily shook him, and Dawn arrived with Van Augur to protect her.
• Dawn trapped Imu in a dark sphere, weakened his Demonic Energy defenses, and blasted away nearly half his body.
• Dawn sealed Imu's abilities, drove Kikoku into his heart, and killed him as the first light of dawn appeared.

Dawn attacked the Whitebeard Pirates on Sphinx Island, seeking to kill Whitebeard and take the dangerous Tremor-Tremor Fruit. After defeating Whitebeard and his crew, Dawn emerged from a dark cocoon holding the fruit, leaving the island’s survivors’ fate unresolved.

• Dawn arrived at Sphinx Island and overwhelmed most of the Whitebeard Pirates with his Conqueror’s Haki before telling Whitebeard he had to die for the world’s safety.
• Whitebeard asked Dawn to let the island’s remaining villagers escape, then prepared to fight alongside Marco, Vista, Jozu, and Teach.
• Zoro defeated Vista, Kizaru captured Marco, Bullet defeated and restrained Jozu, and Kuzan killed Teach.
• Dawn and Whitebeard exchanged attacks, and Dawn’s dark-element technique swallowed Whitebeard’s strongest strike.
• Whitebeard exhausted himself with his ultimate attack, and Dawn enveloped them both in a black cocoon before emerging with the Tremor-Tremor Fruit.

Kaido and Dawn fought while the Beasts Pirates faced Dawn’s allies across Onigashima and Wano. Dawn defeated Kaido, told him that Yamato was pregnant, and killed him as the flooded ruins closed around them.

• Kaido offered the remaining Beasts Pirates a chance to leave, and his loyal followers vowed to fight beside him.
• Dawn arrived at Onigashima, where Ulti, Jinbe, and Aramaki engaged the Beasts Pirates’ officers.
• Dawn and Kaido clashed for five days, and their battle devastated much of Wano Country.
• Dawn unleashed his Ultimate: Supreme Shockwave Fist, knocked Kaido into a crater, and found him dying beneath the flooded ruins.
• Dawn told Kaido that Yamato was pregnant and that their child would inherit his Azure Dragon Fruit, then stabbed Kaido through the heart with Kikoku.

Dawn established the New World Government and became its sole ruler, reshaping the old institutions while leaving much of the system intact. After investing twenty-seven royal consorts, he told Cobra that he planned to pass the throne to a capable child and then journey into the universe.

• Dawn’s government openly recorded the hidden history, renamed the remaining pirate crews as adventure groups, and brought the Revolutionary Army’s purpose to an end.
• Dawn became King of the World and reorganized the King's Guard, intelligence agency, and maritime security force under the New World Government.
• Dawn kept the Reverie and replaced the Heavenly Tribute with an Infinite Energy usage fee, to be decided by the member nations.
• On January 1st, 1534, Dawn established the New World Government, held its first Reverie, and invested twenty-seven royal consorts without naming a queen.
• Cobra asked whether Dawn would rule forever, and Dawn said he would pass the throne to a capable child before beginning a new journey into the universe.
