The ANBU had barely left when Naka Shrine felt as though someone had dumped a bucket of cold water over everyone's heads.

The Hawk faction uncles who had just been shouting about flattening the Hokage Building instantly fell silent as chickens.

Fugaku's face darkened as he waved a hand.

"Everyone, disperse."

Several hundred Uchiha members didn't dare say another word as they slunk out with their tails between their legs.

As Fugaku passed Ye, he paused, his voice squeezing out through clenched teeth.

"Take Obito back to rest. Ye, come to my house."

With that, he left without looking back.

Ye raised an eyebrow and turned to Obito, who was sprawled in the corner. "Go back and sleep. There's a hard fight tomorrow."

Obito leaned on that broken tree branch, his lips moving before he finally forced out a single word. "Yeah."

Fugaku did not even sit down. Both hands braced against the desk, his eyes were fixed on Ye, who sat across from him with one leg crossed over the other.

His chest rose and fell once. "Ye, tell me the truth."

"Was that joint hearing some kind of joke? They're practically saying they want to publicly execute you!"

"Other than blowing up a bridge, what the hell did Minato's Team do to make the leadership flip the table like this?"

Ye shifted in his chair and leaned back more comfortably. "Clan Head, do you want the truth?"

Fugaku snapped, "What kind of nonsense question is that?!"

"Fine."

Ye held up one finger, his tone as casual as if he were listing dishes.

"On the way back, Danzo used the excuse of emergency wartime deployment to send us down the Northeastern Mountain Road, so remote even ghosts wouldn't bother taking a dump there."
