What kind of man was Yun Qianzai?
His love of showing off before others alone eclipsed every other trait he had.
So if Ji Yuan was giving him a gift, it had to be something that would let him show off.
Ji Yuan racked his brains but couldn't think of anything that would help. Just as he was about to change tack and give him some ordinary Spirit Stones instead,
a scene suddenly surfaced in his mind.
That was the first time Ji Yuan had met Yun Qianzai. He had appeared out of thin air atop a boulder by a cliff, turned his back to everyone, and recited a line of verse.
How had it gone? "Heavenly Pivot treads the Dipper and cuts the Star Orbit; one thought seals the abyss and stills the ocean tide."
It certainly sounded imposing, but something about it fell short. Ji Yuan felt that if he were the one reciting it, he could come up with something even more imposing.
So a few entrance lines, plus some Spirit Stones, ought to do it.
Ideally, he would have killed Hu Li and given Yun Qianzai his Thirty-Six Dense-Smoke Formation. But Ji Yuan definitely couldn't bring out any of the other three Formations he knew.
"Damn it. Other people travel back to ancient times and plagiarize poems. Why do I have to plagiarize poems after traveling to a world of immortal cultivation too?"
Ji Yuan grumbled, "What should I steal?"
The poetry itself didn't really matter. What mattered was making Yun Qianzai's entrance grand enough.
After turning it over in his mind, Ji Yuan picked a few lines.
"Who stands at the peak where the immortal road ends? One glimpse of Heavenly Pivot, and all other Daos fall away."
Yun Qianzai styled himself the Celestial Pivot
