Let me state this upfront: it wasn't that I hadn't written anything.
I had written it, but I wasn't satisfied with it, so I scrapped the entire chapter and rewrote it from scratch.
I wrote over seven thousand characters, but it didn't feel right. There were problems, so I simply abandoned it.
Then I started over.
I've only written a little over six hundred characters so far. I'm going to sleep now, and by the time I wake up, it'll probably already be afternoon.
So I definitely won't make the daytime update.
Rather than rush out a low-quality draft in a panic, I'd rather take a day off, polish it properly, and post it tomorrow.
After all, my fellow Daoists are supporting me with their hard-earned money. I have to live up to that support.
So I'm sorry. Left with no other choice, I can only take a day off.
I checked the update calendar, and I haven't taken a day off in several months already—so, in light of Qing Meng's conscientious and responsible attitude, please cast a monthly vote in support.
Qing Meng offers humble thanks.
