For the next week, Nameless and the other two trekked through remote mountains, searching for the legendary Humanizing Spring.

The Humanizing Spring was very likely a prisoner's corpse, or even a prisoner himself. Since they knew it was somewhere in the wilderness, they only needed to search every mountain in this plane. Sooner or later, they would find it.

But after a week, they still had not found the Humanizing Spring. Instead, while resting in a small town, they heard unexpected news: Bairangpu, the eldest son of the Ironclaw Family, had been betrayed by his younger brother William. On the brink of death, he had encountered a legendary ghost that could grant any wish, gained immense power, and taken revenge on William.

In the restaurant, Gao Shanggong listened to the diners at the next table, pondered for a moment, then looked at Nameless and True Self Amateur. "Do you think it's true?"

"If it's false, what do they gain?" True Self Amateur asked casually.

Nameless smiled. "How could they gain nothing? Spreading this story could greatly boost Bairangpu's standing and make the transfer of power in the Lineage smoother. Other lineages wouldn't know whether it was true, so they'd think twice before making a move against the Ironclaw Family."

"But I think it's probably true." Nameless paused and set down his chopsticks.

True Self Amateur grew interested. "Why don't we go take a look? We can see for ourselves what happens when the Wish-Granting Sprite grants a wish."

"Have you forgotten what we said before?" Nameless gave True Self Amateur an exasperated look.

True Self Amateur immediately recalled how they had tried to lure the Wish-Granting Sprite with a wish a week ago. He shuddered. "I'm just curious about its effects. I didn't say I wanted to make a wish."
