The next moment, Wang Zong let out a low growl and attacked first. The Knife-Wielding Hunter retreated swiftly, vanishing in the blink of an eye into the pitch-black Void.

Wang Zong's punch missed. An instant later, he sensed danger at the edge of his vision. The Knife-Wielding Hunter struck from his right, a blade of energy gleaming with a cross-shaped light slashing toward him. Wang Zong could only raise one hand and burn his vital energy to block it.

They launched into a frenzy of attack and defense, their roles reversing again and again.

As they fought, a square Special Space resembling transparent glass drifted toward them. Inside stood a man whose hair was made entirely of white snakes.

Neither Wang Zong nor the Knife-Wielding Hunter noticed him. Their eyes remained fixed on each other as they traded blows.

The space floated up beside them. The man inside watched quietly as they fought. Once, both fighters passed straight through his body. The space around him was like a ghost, wholly unaffected.

"Wang Zong is quite strong," the man murmured.

He then looked at the Knife-Wielding Hunter with approval. The hunter was formidable too. If the fight continued like this, it would probably end in a draw.

"A united All-Heavens Council doesn't serve the Fictional Alliance's interests. Perhaps these two could be useful," the man said.

He was the founder behind the founders of the Fictional Alliance: Yi Dong Gorgon, the king who played with space.

The spendthrift matriarch of the Gorgon Family was his descendant. They had not seen each other for who knew how many Cosmic Destruction Eras, though, and she had probably long since assumed he was dead.
