Three days later, the Endless Voyage left the Electronic Sea. Once again, it surged to full speed, riding the wind and cleaving the waves as it headed for the next sea.
Neither Nameless nor Wang Zong went fishing this time. After their first experience, they knew they would never catch anything while the Endless Voyage was moving this fast.
Besides, fish from ordinary seas probably scored very few points. Even if they caught one, it would be worth little more than an extra dish at dinner.
Nameless rested for a day. The next morning, he appeared on deck full of energy. As the scenery raced past, he took out his electronic binoculars and studied the surrounding islands.
If Angler's Fishing Rod existed, could there be other special fishing rods?
He swept his gaze over the islands, spotting all sorts of strange animals. One island was home to many long-necked rabbits. Each long neck ended in a rabbit's head, making the creatures look bizarrely out of proportion.
But the plants on that island were exceptionally tall, bare below and crowned with thick tufts of leaves. No wonder the rabbits had evolved long necks. In the end, it was all about survival.
Another island was covered in ears: cat ears, dog ears, cow ears, human ears. They crowded every inch of the island. The sight was disgusting, yet it made him want to reach out and touch them.
After looking around, Nameless found nothing on the islands worth collecting. He lingered on deck a while longer, then returned to his room.
From then on, he came out for a walk every day before going back to his room to fish.
The one advantage of Angler's Fishing Rod was that it worked anywhere, as long as there was water. Nameless simply moved the
