Nameless sat on the deck, basking in the sun. His chair was a recliner woven from branches, and beside it stood a small table made of branches, laden with juice, grilled skewers, and fruit.
As the sea breeze blew, Nameless slowly tapped the armrest with his fingers, his thoughts having long since drifted to the Vampire Jellyfish.
Deep beneath the sea, the Vampire Jellyfish was fighting a magical beast octopus.
Both were tentacled creatures, but the Vampire Jellyfish had far more tentacles. Every one of the octopus's tentacles was wrapped by three or four of the Vampire Jellyfish's, and the two sides silently strained against each other.
This magical beast octopus was roughly Level Two and immensely large, almost a match for the Vampire Jellyfish. Its ability was extremely simple: spraying highly toxic ink.
Many small fish died instantly upon touching the ink. It was absurdly potent.
However, the Vampire Jellyfish wrapped itself in Psychokinesis and simply ignored the poison. It then entwined the magical beast octopus with its tentacles, intending to suck its blood.
Who would have thought that the magical beast octopus would also wrap its tentacles around the Vampire Jellyfish's, leaving both sides unable to move.
"First, remember to leave one tentacle behind. I want grilled octopus tentacles," Nameless said.
The next moment, the Vampire Jellyfish unleashed Psychokinesis. But the octopus's body was soft and squishy; even when Psychokinesis kneaded it into all sorts of shapes, it still could not kill it.
The Vampire Jellyfish simply withdrew its Psychokinesis, using it only to protect itself before suddenly releasing a powerful electric shock.
