A week earlier, Nameless had cleared the ninth stage and returned to Great Wilderness City after collecting his reward.
He spent five days sorting through the rewards he had earned in the Divine Treasury Trial, then went back to his old life as a lazy slacker. Every day, he slept until he woke naturally, then fished, binged shows, wandered around, followed gossip, and had sex.
With all sorts of random systems loaded onto him, he earned rewards no matter what he did. His strength continued to grow slowly, without the slightest sense of hitting a bottleneck.
Level 279 still wasn't safe enough.
Nameless had made up his mind: once he reached Level 280, he would find the Dark King and settle that little problem for good.
Before then, all he wanted was to spend each day at his leisure. He hoped the Divine Treasury Trial would never, ever pick him again, and that the Lost Door would stay out of his life too.
"Aries, what do you think about me retiring?"
Beside a pond, Nameless held a fishing rod. When he saw Aries Palace approaching, he asked him the question.
Aries Palace said calmly, "If you retire, who'll be chairman? Do you think anyone else is qualified? Would the cultivators of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms accept it?"
"Fine. Tell me what kind of mess it is this time." Nameless sighed.
Aries Palace handed him a letter. "Someone wants to challenge you. He says that if you don't accept, he'll destroy a hundred worlds every day."

Nameless focused on fishing, and both men fell silent.
After a while, he set down his rod. "What is the Enforcement Corps doing? Where did this letter turn up? Did they find nothing at all?"
"They investigated, but found nothing.
