The Terrifying Upright Ape had never wanted to enter the Tenth Cell.
It had sensed a terrifying presence inside earlier, so it had stayed in the Ninth Cell.
But now it had nowhere left to run.
Its only chance was to snatch life from the jaws of death: lure Zhang Ping into the Tenth Cell and fight to the bitter end.
Zhang Ping was about to give chase when his Sixth Sense suddenly sounded an alarm. He stopped short and instinctively unleashed all his Nether Mist, forming a thick shield before him.
The next instant, a terrifying roar came from the Tenth Cell.
A streak of red light smashed through the wall on the right side of the passage and struck the Nether Mist. The mist writhed and buckled, caving in on both sides.
The Terrifying Upright Ape raced out of the passage. Clutching his severed arm, he ran straight past Zhang Ping and fled toward the exit.
Behind him, a terrifying dark-green Giant Dragon smashed through the passage. Its massive body bore down on Zhang Ping, who stood in its way, but its gaze remained fixed on the Terrifying Upright Ape ahead.
The Terrifying Upright Ape was far faster than Zhang Ping.
Despite being on guard, Zhang Ping could only watch the ape dart past his feet. He barely had time to wrap himself in Nether Mist before the dark-green Giant Dragon slammed into him.
Zhang Ping felt as though a planet had rolled over him. Blood spurted from his mouth.
Even one layer of Metallic Coating offered defense that would leave an ordinary person in despair. Yet now, transformed into a seven-meter giant, he still could not withstand the dragon's impact. Its sheer physical power was staggering.
