Zhu Wushi was not a direct descendant of the Beast-Taming Zhu Family.
His father had originally been surnamed Huang. Because he married a woman from a branch of the Zhu Family, he changed his surname to Zhu, and Huang Wushi became the Zhu Wushi of today.
