Zhu Chongba saw Zhang Ping's body smashed apart, and delight surged through him.
Then he saw countless black beads of Nether Mist gather again high in the sky. When Zhang Ping emerged from the mist moments later, Zhu Chongba's eyes widened once more.
He had already rated Zhang Ping as highly as he could, yet Zhang Ping kept shattering his expectations, showing him what an Infinite-Tier Ability User truly was.
Zhang Ping was clearly much weaker now, though.
His body was no longer as sturdy as before. Little muscle remained, and every rib showed. The sunny young man had become a hollow-eyed addict.
Seeing that Zhang Ping had survived, the Flame Sea Red Dragon King whipped its tail straight at him.
It was bent on killing Zhang Ping now. Rather than seize the Great Sun Boundary-Sealing Divine Needle, it preferred to kill him first and deal with the needle afterward.
Zhang Ping retreated quickly and dodged the tail, but he frowned as a thin cut appeared across the bridge of his nose.
Fortunately, his defenses were strong enough. Otherwise, even after dodging the tail, the wind it swept up would have sliced him open.
Suddenly, the Flame Sea Red Dragon King seized the Great Sun Boundary-Sealing Divine Needle from the ground. It shot Zhang Ping a challenging look, then opened its mouth, gathered a Light Cannon, and aimed down at the needle.
"That beast!"
Zhang Ping wiped the blood from his face. The next instant, lasers shot from his eyes.
The lasers swept across the Flame Sea Red Dragon King's neck, leaving two charred lines. It roared in pain, changed direction at once, and fired its Light Cannon up at Zhang Ping.
Zhang Ping had anticipated that. He dodged the instant it raised its head.
