The main problem was that the silver sphere seemed formed in one seamless piece. Psychokinesis could not penetrate it at all and could only linger on its surface, while the Base Runes there blocked every probe and attempt at Analysis. Failure was the only result.

Farther away, a star shone like an incandescent bulb in the night.
Light flared and faded in space, silent yet bustling.
Nameless lay on the bed, watching the view of outer space as his eyes gradually closed and his breathing grew slow and even.
Inside the Bubble Exoshell, Nameless did not need to sleep at all. But he had nothing against it, especially on a long journey. A good sleep made him feel better.
