Next, Nameless found another Mutated Beast that looked fairly strong.
He landed in front of it. Before he could start hypnotizing himself, the beast flew into a rage and roared as it slashed at him with an elbow. A sharp blade grew from that elbow, and roaring flames sprang up around it as it struck.
"Wait!"
Nameless hurriedly jumped back out of its attack range.
But the beast clearly had no intention of listening. Roaring again, it unleashed a flurry of slashes with both arms.
Nameless sighed. The next moment, he used his superpower to hold the beast in place, then stared at it and began talking to himself. Once he felt he had done enough, he released it.
He raised the Loving Father, Filial Son Blade and smiled. "Come on!"
A flicker of fear crossed the beast's eyes. Instead of charging at him in a fury as it had before, it spun around and fled at top speed with its tail between its legs.
Mutated Beasts weren't smart, but that didn't mean they had no brains.
Nameless was plainly beyond its ability to handle. It would have to be looking for death to keep attacking him.
"Wait, come back!"
Nameless watched helplessly as the beast vanished into the woods.
Ten minutes later.
Nameless appeared before a Mutated Beast the size of a mountain. After repeating the words silently to himself for a while, he slapped the giant beast awake with a palm of Psychokinesis.
Sure enough, the giant beast flew into a rage and swept a paw at Nameless. He had barely raised his blade to block when both he and the blade were sent flying.
In midair, Nameless sighed. So it really doesn't work?
When the giant beast tried to attack again, Nameless instantly returned to the Rescue
