Nameless strapped on an oxygen tank, secured his oxygen mask, and left the Sand Shell once more.
He quickly reached the Black Hole that Mad Lion had become and searched all around it. When he failed to find the Golden Gate, he went inside the Black Hole to look.
Several days later, he emerged from the Black Hole and hurried back to the Sand Shell.
"Nothing. Looks like it really might be because Ovelia is still alive." Nameless slumped over the table, exhausted.
Searching every bit of matter inside the Black Hole was grueling work, even for him.
He could blow the Black Hole apart, but that would only make the job harder. The scattered fragments of matter might travel faster than light, with the Golden Gate attached to one of them. How many monkey years and horse months would it take him to find it then?
Finding anything inside the Black Hole was no easy task, either. He had to use spatial abilities to keep himself from being affected by it while extending his Psychokinesis and Bioforce Field. Those powers needed the protection of his spatial abilities too, or the Black Hole could affect them, even swallow them whole.
Destroying was easy; maintaining was hard.
Under those conditions, searching the entire Black Hole in just a few days was already frighteningly impressive.
"You or me? If you can't bring yourself to do it, I can help!" Yeqin said, looking at Nameless seriously.
She thought Nameless was pretty crazy, but she had to admit he was a good person. She knew he did not want to kill. Ovelia had attacked him, yet he had only turned her into a flower. That alone said plenty.
Still, if Yeqin was being honest, she did not think Nameless's behavior could be called merciful.
